The hit K-drama “Marry My Husband” is being remade into a Japanese drama.
On April 27, CJ ENM announced that the Japanese adaptation, titled 「私の夫と結婚して」 (Marry My Husband), will be released exclusively via Amazon Prime Video. The series will consist of 10 episodes and is based on the original web novel, not the version aired on tvN in 2023.
🎬 A Global Collaboration Between Korea and Japan
This remake is part of a global production project jointly developed by CJ ENM Japan and Studio Dragon, with Freero Pictures and Shochiku (a prominent Japanese film and drama production company known for The Girl We Loved at the Time) co-producing.
🎭 Star-Studded Japanese Cast
The lead roles are played by rising Japanese stars Fuwa Koshiba and Takeru Satoh, supported by notable actors such as Sei Shiraishi and Yu Yokoyama.
🎥 Behind the Scenes Powerhouse
Directing the series is Ahn Gil-ho, known for his work on Secret Forest and The Glory. The script is penned by acclaimed Japanese screenwriter Satomi Oshima, best known for 1 Litre of Tears and Thirty Something is Inclined.
🔧 Top Producers Onboard
Also joining the team are Son Young, producer of the original Marry My Husband K-drama, and Lee Sang-hwa from CJ ENM’s Global Content Production Team, ensuring the remake remains high-quality and faithful to the source.
