The pink-hued romance between Ko Yoon-jung and Jung Joon-won has been unveiled through a special love-line poster for tvN’s weekend drama Resident Playbook (creator Shin Won-ho, writer Lee Woo-jung / director Lee Min-soo / writer Kim Song-hee / production CJ ENM Studios, Egg is Coming).
In the newly released poster, the emotional growth of the first-year OB-GYN residents at Jongno Yulje Hospital is on full display, particularly in the tense and tender moments of the neonatal intensive care unit. Characters Oh Yi-young (Ko Yoon-jung), Pyo Nam-gyeong (Cinsia), Um Jae-il (Kang You-seok), and Kim Sa-bi (Han Ye-ji) face the pressure of professional life while navigating their own aspirations, creating a relatable and heartwarming narrative for viewers.
Of particular interest is the evolving dynamic between Oh Yi-young and Koo Do-won (Jung Joon-won). What began as subtle emotional tension between a junior and her senior has grown into a compelling love line. Oh Yi-young, having recognized her feelings, bravely confesses to Do-won in a quiet elevator moment, asking for only one birthday gift—his permission: “Can I like you?”
Though Do-won had previously drawn a firm line between them, cracks are beginning to show. His cold demeanor softens as he observes Yi-young’s honesty, resilience, and the comfort she brings, especially in the wake of his emotional wounds linked to fellow doctor Kim Hye-in. His gaze toward Yi-young has undeniably changed.
Anticipation is also rising with the return of familiar faces from Hospital Playlist, including Choo Min-ha (Ahn Eun-jin), Yong Seok-min (Moon Tae-yu), Heo Sun-bin (Ha Yoon-kyung), Kim Jun-wan (Jung Kyung-ho), Ahn Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok), and Jang Hong-do (Bae Hyun-sung), who are expected to make guest appearances from episode 2 onward.
tvN’s Resident Playbook airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST.
