Karate Kid: Legends Trailer Unites Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio
Sony Pictures has officially dropped the Karate Kid: Legends trailer, unveiling a fresh chapter in the iconic martial arts saga. Set to hit theaters on May 30, 2025, the film brings together franchise veterans Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio for the first time, combining kung fu and karate in an epic, cross-generational showdown.
A New Prodigy Enters the Ring
The story centers on Li Fong (Ben Wang), a gifted kung fu student from Beijing who relocates to New York City following a personal tragedy. Struggling to adjust to a new life, Li finds himself drawn into a karate competition to help a friend in need. But when he discovers his kung fu isn’t enough to compete, he turns to his old mentor Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) for help.
Recognizing the challenge ahead, Han reaches out to none other than Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), the original Karate Kid. Together, they form an unlikely alliance to train Li by blending their martial arts philosophies—a union of discipline, tradition, and innovation.
