In an official statement released on August 8, WM Entertainment announced, “We have recently renewed our contracts with Hyojeong, Mimi, Seunghee, and Yubin. These re-signings reflect the solid trust built over a decade together.” This marks their second renewal since their initial re-signing in 2022.
The agency expressed gratitude, saying, “We are delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with these four members and deeply appreciate their decision to stay with us.”
However, YooA and Arin have chosen not to renew their contracts. WM Entertainment clarified that while both idols have exited the agency, they are still committed to remaining members of Oh My Girl. “Though their individual contracts have ended, YooA and Arin will continue to participate in group activities. We sincerely thank them for their dedication over the past 10 years and wholeheartedly support their future endeavors.”
YooA and Arin Begin New Journeys
YooA shared a heartfelt handwritten letter to fans, stating, “I will do my best for Oh My Girl for the next 10, 20 years and beyond.” She also opened up about her transition into acting, reflecting on her role in the film Project Y and her desire to connect with fans through a different medium. YooA now plans to focus on her career as an actress.
A Decade of Evolution and Milestones
Oh My Girl debuted in 2015 and quickly gained popularity for their signature summer hits such as “Secret Garden,” “Dolphin,” “Fireworks,” “Dawn Dance,” and “I’m a Little Excited.” Known for their ability to shift seamlessly between whimsical and cheerful concepts, they became beloved for their refreshing musical style.
The group originally debuted with eight members, but restructured in 2017 following JinE’s departure due to health reasons. In 2022, Jiho also exited after her contract ended, reducing the group to six active members. The remaining members renewed their contracts with WM at that time.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2025, Oh My Girl released the commemorative single “Oh My” on March 9 and held a two-day solo concert titled Milky Way on March 19 and 20 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
WM’s Ongoing Support for Group and Solo Activities
WM Entertainment emphasized its continued backing of the group and individual pursuits: “We will spare no effort in supporting both the group and the solo activities of the members who have re-signed so they can continue to thrive.”
