The Haunted Palace Episode 10 starts right where the last ended—with a kiss that gets interrupted by embarrassment. As emotions swell, secrets unravel, and danger creeps closer, the bond between Gangcheori and Yeo-ri deepens while Pung-san unleashes a powerful possession that changes everything.
Blushing, Bickering, and Bibi’s Disapproval
The Haunted Palace Episode 10 begins with the charged moment following Gangcheori and Yeo-ri’s kiss. Before anything more happens, both snap back to reality and awkwardly flee. Yeo-ri is overwhelmed, while Gangcheori can’t stop grinning and even shares the moment with Bibi, who remains unimpressed. Bibi warns that mortals are fickle, and Yeo-ri could end up breaking Gangcheori’s heart.
Elsewhere, Kwak visits Pung-san for answers. Though still skeptical of Imugis, he accepts a special powder meant to fend off Gangcheori.
Palace Visit and Shy Gestures
The next day, Mrs. Yoon pushes Gangcheori to stay by Yeo-ri’s side. On the way to the palace, he keeps trying (and failing) to hold her hand, while she’s visibly flustered. He’s clearly smitten.
Inside the palace, Gangcheori attempts to thank the King for saving Yeo-ri but the tension is too much, and he aborts the effort. The trio discusses the recent attack, and the King defends Minister Kim, citing his alibi. They agree to uncover the eight-foot ghost’s identity—guessing he might be a former military man based on his fighting prowess. Gangcheori quietly realizes he may have to drain his Imugi pearl to defeat the ghost completely. When Yeo-ri tugs at his hand to snap him out of his daze, the palace staff can’t help but smile.
New Allies and Old Enemies
Minister Kim isn’t slowing down. He meets Yi Hwa-seong—a royal relative with no allies and a dead father. Kim recruits him to stage a pious appearance during Pung-san’s memorial service for Prince Yeong-in. Queen Mother is intrigued by the display.
Later, Gangcheori takes revenge on Kwak by using Yeo-ri’s shamanic mirror to dismantle his protective talismans. Pung-san’s powder fails to stop him. Gangcheori attacks and subdues Kwak, and Bibi finishes the job by devouring the minister.

Political Fallout and Shifting Loyalties
News of Kwak’s death stirs both Minister Kim and the King—for different reasons. The King sees it as a missed chance to punish the rebellion’s leader. Head Eunuch Kim reports rumors about anti-Imugi talismans and reveals Pung-san’s involvement.
The King then bumps into Hwa-seong near the Queen Mother’s chambers. He brushes it off, thinking she’s trying to replace Prince Yeong-in. But he also gets an idea—perhaps there’s a connection between past suspicious deaths, like Hwa-seong’s father’s, and the ghost’s grudge.
Candy, Chaos, and a Hairpin
At the Yoon household, financial problems worsen. Gangcheori finally receives his salary—but spends it all on candy, a hairpin, and a pair of shoes. He runs into monks Noh and Ga-seop, who guilt him into letting them stay over.
Back home, Mrs. Yoon tries to hit him for wasting money, but he reveals the hairpin is to replace the one she sold to buy medicine for his amnesia. The monks also bring a surprise: they found Yeo-ri’s ghostbane stone.
Yeo-ri questions Ga-seop about her grandmother’s death, and he admits he recommended her for the fatal exorcism. He carries guilt to this day.
Suspicion and a Secret Promise
Bibi tells Gangcheori that Pung-san crafted the talismans and seems to have powerful fire energy. Gangcheori grows wary. That night, the brothers celebrate Kwak’s downfall, and Gangcheori, moved by the moment, offers to help Bibi ascend. But he insists it must stay a secret from Yeo-ri.
Later, he finds her admiring the shoes he bought. She wants to return them, but he stops her, revealing he saw her eyeing similar ones last summer. She’s touched to know he was always around, even when she thought she was alone.
Yeo-ri promises she’ll help him ascend after saving Neop-deok and Yoon Gap. They’re about to kiss again, but the ghostbane stone pushes Gangcheori back. When she tries to move it aside, he teasingly questions her eagerness.
Kidnapped Again and a Possession Revealed
The next day, the King shares his new theory with Gangcheori: by tracing the strange deaths surrounding the royal family, they might uncover the ghost’s identity and grudge.
But Yeo-ri is suddenly missing—kidnapped by Pung-san’s assistant after realizing he is the notorious Blind Yapper.
While the King tries to confront Pung-san—now conveniently with the Queen Mother—Seo and Gangcheori follow the trail Yeo-ri cleverly left behind. It leads them to the Blind Fortune Tellers’ Association.
There, Gangcheori finds a hidden shrine behind a painting—Pung-san’s underground lair. At the climax of The Haunted Palace Episode 10, Pung-san appears… and is possessed by the eight-foot ghost. Seo dashes off to find help while the ghost attacks Gangcheori. The ghost finally speaks: he witnessed Gangcheori’s fall 100 years ago, but blames the royal family for the Imugi’s demotion.
