In Tastefully Yours Episode 4, the drama turns up the heat both emotionally and culinarily as Beom-woo juggles his feelings for Yeon-joo and his tense rivalry with Young-hye at the food festival. The episode opens with a heated confrontation—Young-hye tries to expose Beom-woo’s secret, but he quickly labels her as an ex-girlfriend to keep Yeon-joo in the dark.
Later, Beom-woo privately admits to Young-hye that Yeon-joo is not only a chef but one he believes is more talented than her. This revelation bothers Young-hye, while Beom-woo finds himself thinking more and more about Yeon-joo. The next morning, he’s surprised to discover she’s moved into the room next to his after her house fire. The duo prepares to take on the food festival together, although they’re clearly not in sync—especially when Yeon-joo insists on making simple carrot gimbap without any flashy twists.
Food Festival Tensions Rise in Tastefully Yours Episode 4
At the festival, Myung-sook and Chun-seung have rented a run-down truck, but the biggest surprise comes when Hansang suddenly joins as a sponsor. Beom-woo is taken aback to see Sun-woo and even more stunned to hear that the prize has been raised to ten million won. But the real kicker? La Lecel—Young-hye’s team—is also competing. Beom-woo accuses Young-hye of orchestrating it all, and he’s dismayed to see their old manager Lee Yu-jin helping her.
Sales start off slow for Yeon-joo’s truck, but things take a turn when Beom-woo brings beef and other upgrades. Yeon-joo gives in, adding the ingredients to create elevated gimbap, which becomes a hit. Their celebration hug turns awkward, and as they head home, it’s clear emotions are simmering beneath the surface.
Meanwhile, Yeon-joo finds a lighter in her ruined kitchen and questions Beom-woo about it. He denies involvement, leaving more questions than answers. Back at the festival, Hansang ups the ante with a guest singer, Park Koon, and directs fans to La Lecel’s truck, sparking another clash between Beom-woo and Young-hye. Yeon-joo intervenes, dragging Beom-woo back to focus on their own stall.
Desperate for traction, Chun-seung introduces a special herbal drink called moju, which complements their gimbap. One returning customer requests their original carrot gimbap—prompting a heartening comeback. Sales soar as Chun-seung and Myung-sook shamelessly (and falsely) promote Yeon-joo and Beom-woo as a struggling, expectant couple.
The vote count narrows between Jungjae’s truck and La Lecel, but Young-hye’s team snags the win. Suspicious, Chun-seung cries foul, and even Beom-woo accuses Sun-woo of possibly rigging the competition or starting the restaurant fire. Sun-woo denies any involvement, leaving Beom-woo unconvinced.
Later, Young-hye taunts Beom-woo about his feelings for Yeon-joo and his loss. Yet when she tastes Yeon-joo’s gimbap herself, she realizes just how talented her rival is. In a sweet ending, Beom-woo finds Yeon-joo playing ddakji with kids. When they chase her, she grabs his hand and they run. After bickering, he lets his emotions out, admitting he has a crush on her—and then surprises her with a kiss.
