Juice Se-yeon has successfully uncovered the identity of a cyberlekka who repeatedly slandered him online. According to a report from Sports Tendency on the 22nd, the comedian worked with legal counsel Jung Kyung-seok Liu to track down the anonymous YouTuber, ultimately launching a civil lawsuit after revealing the individual’s identity.
Cyberlekka Behind YouTube Slander Identified
The YouTuber in question was behind several malicious channels including “Pepper Field,” “Pepper Town,” and “Serengeti,” all of which have now been taken down. These channels had routinely uploaded defamatory content mocking multiple celebrities, including Juice Se-yeon himself.
To unmask the person, Juice reportedly utilized the U.S. discovery legal system—a process that allows parties to obtain evidence through formal requests across borders. Once his team successfully secured the individual’s information, a civil lawsuit was filed to hold the YouTuber accountable for online defamation.
Juice Se-yeon cyberlekka case sparks legal precedent
The case has also drawn attention due to its connection to other high-profile lawsuits. Kim Hee-young, domestic partner of SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won and chairwoman of the TNC Foundation, is reportedly also preparing a lawsuit against the same YouTuber. Her side is said to be actively pursuing discovery proceedings both in Korea and abroad.
This isn’t the first legal action against the cyberlekka—last September, a defamation lawsuit was filed against the operator in Korea by the company “Pucka.” That case led to U.S.-assisted discovery, eventually confirming the personal details of the YouTuber, reinforcing the effectiveness of international legal cooperation in tackling online abuse.
Juice Se-yeon’s bold legal move marks a turning point in the fight against anonymous online defamation. By leveraging the U.S. discovery system, he not only set a new legal precedent for Korean celebrities but also highlighted the real-world consequences awaiting malicious YouTubers who hide behind anonymity. The fact that high-profile figures like Kim Hee-young are pursuing similar action suggests we’re entering a new era where digital slander will no longer go unchecked—especially when influential public figures fight back with coordinated legal strategies.
