In Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 3, past wounds and new revelations create emotional ripples for Mi-ji, Ho-su, and Mi-rae. The story opens with Ho-su recognizing Mi-ji but being persuaded that he’s mistaken. This moment sparks a deeper dive into their shared history. Through flashbacks, we discover that Mi-ji and Ho-su were once close in high school. Their bond fractured after Mi-ji suspected Ho-su of dating her friend Mi-rae. On the day of her crucial race, Mi-ji saw them hugging from a distance, lost her concentration, and suffered a fall that fractured her ankle. Her promising athletic career unraveled as she hastily removed her cast and resumed training too soon, ultimately causing irreversible damage.
Meanwhile, Ho-su’s integrity at the law firm lands him in trouble. By helping a victim involved in his client’s case, he compromises a lawsuit and earns the ire of his senior, Lee Chung-ku. Chung-ku, once a role model for Ho-su, immediately senses his involvement and freezes him out of all meetings and projects.
Mi-ji’s storyline shifts to the elderly restaurant owner who refuses to sell her property for redevelopment. Mi-ji, desperate to change the woman’s mind, visits repeatedly to clean the restaurant and even follows her to a poetry class—only to get caught. In her frustration, she turns to Ho-su for guidance. Together, they uncover that the woman is a revered poet who once sponsored students from single-parent families—Ho-su included. This revelation stirs a mix of gratitude and guilt in both.
Elsewhere, Mi-rae continues to impress at the strawberry farm with her intuition and care. After her shift, Se-jin gives her a lift and is baffled by her excellent driving, especially since she admits she can’t ride a bicycle.
Back at the law firm, Ho-su refuses to be sidelined and begs his teammates for inclusion in their work. His persistence leads to an unexpected invite to a group outing—a triple date. There, he runs into Park Ji-yun, another classmate from the past. They call Mi-ji to join them, reigniting old connections between Mi-rae, Ji-yun, and Mi-ji.
Later, Ji-yun drives Mi-ji to the old restaurant. Mi-ji pretends the elderly woman is her grandaunt, hoping to discreetly return a bathroom key. As the redevelopment pressure mounts, Mi-ji’s director insists she secure the old woman’s attendance at a stakeholder meeting. Coincidentally, Ji-yun wants to film the restaurant for a new project. When they arrive together, the elderly woman plays along with Mi-ji’s lie but confronts her once they’re alone. Surprisingly, she agrees to meet Mi-ji’s company—if only to decline in person. Though not a win, Mi-ji technically fulfills her mission and feels a strange sense of gratitude.
In a touching turn, Ho-su visits the restaurant alone to thank the woman for supporting his education. Moved by the rare appreciation, she cooks him a warm meal.
On the farm, Se-jin apologizes to Mi-rae after learning she cleaned the warehouse. He explains that the dusty old chair she moved had belonged to his grandfather—a symbol of deep sentimental value tied to the family farm.
The episode closes with Ho-su revealing to Mi-ji (still believing she is Mi-rae) that he has quit his job. He expresses his desire to stand by her side and help her genuinely from now on.
