Tastefully Yours Episode 7 dives deep into emotional reckonings, restaurant politics, and long-buried culinary memories as Yeon-joo finds herself face-to-face with her past, Beom-woo takes bold action against a hostile takeover, and Yu-jin faces betrayal back in Seoul. The episode balances heartfelt kitchen moments with corporate tension and a race against time.
Yu-jin’s Captivity and a Mysterious Recipe Book
The episode opens with Manager Lee Yu-jin waking up inside Chun-seung’s garage, where he was locked up by Beom-woo. As he explores his surroundings, he stumbles upon a curious book labeled “Jungjae’s Recipes”—but instead of recipes, it contains a collection of random news clippings. The mystery deepens, suggesting a secret embedded within the past of Yeon-joo’s late father.
In Japan: Shifting Loyalties and Ramen Memories
Across the sea in Sapporo, Beom-woo talks with Young-hye and is stunned to hear that Jeon Min has replaced her at Han Sun-woo’s restaurant, La Lecel. He storms toward the restaurant, ready to confront Min, but hesitates when he sees him laughing warmly with Yeon-joo. Min urges Yeon-joo to return to Le Murir, but she politely declines. A call from Sun-woo pulls Min away, leaving Yeon-joo and Beom-woo alone to brainstorm her next dish for Chef Tatsuo.
As they discuss possibilities, Yeon-joo fondly recalls her admiration for Tatsuo before his obsession with earning a Diamant star changed him. The two eventually find themselves at a ramen spot that serves uni ramen. The owner, a friend of Tatsuo’s, explains the original recipe came from a “kid”—which sparks Yeon-joo’s memory. She had made that exact dish for the staff once. Beom-woo suggests she recreate it for Tatsuo. Their bond strengthens, culminating in Yeon-joo planting a quick kiss on his lips before running off to gather ingredients.
In Seoul: Role Reversals and Hidden Motives
Back in South Korea, Chun-seung gives Yu-jin food while he remains locked in the garage. When Yu-jin threatens to destroy his prized liquor bottles, Chun-seung lets him out briefly. That’s when Young-hye arrives. In a surprising twist, she and Yu-jin turn the tables and lock Chun-seung inside instead. Young-hye then informs Yu-jin that she needs Yeon-joo’s recipe book by the weekend—Diamant inspectors are coming to her restaurant, Motto.
Back in Sapporo, Beom-woo confronts Min about the ongoing merger between Hansang and Le Murir. He accuses Min of being aware that Murir’s long-term fate involves closure. Min counters with suspicions of his own, questioning Beom-woo’s real motives.
The Dish That Revives a Chef’s Soul
The next morning, Yeon-joo goes out to shop for ingredients, but Beom-woo doesn’t join her as planned. Instead, he meets her later at Le Murir, where she prepares to recreate her uni ramen. During prep, she finds a bottle of pills in the trash. Min casually claims they’re for stress. Despite the tension, the dish is completed and presented to Tatsuo, who finally eats a full meal for the first time in days. He not only finishes it but also recalls that Yeon-joo was the one who made it long ago.
In an emotional moment, Tatsuo apologizes to Yeon-joo for the pufferfish incident, acknowledging the pain it caused. They reconcile as old memories come flooding back. Min then gathers the staff to announce that he is now the chef-owner of Le Murir. He reveals that to keep the restaurant afloat, he brought in an external investor.
Explosive Revelations and Last-Minute Interventions
However, Yeon-joo confronts Min about the pills. She reveals that they’re not for stress—but for Alzheimer’s. She accuses Min of hiding Tatsuo’s diagnosis to buy time to sell the restaurant. Min confesses the restaurant is on the brink of collapse and that he acted out of desperation.
Just when it seems like things can’t get worse for Min, Beom-woo delivers a final blow. In a flashback, we see that Beom-woo secretly took an early flight to Seoul and crashed a Hansang board meeting. With his mother’s help, he reclaims his board seat and uses his vote to reject the proposed M&A for Le Murir.
Back in Sapporo, Min is furious and punches Beom-woo. Chef Tatsuo intervenes, urging peace. He tells Min he understands how much he loves Murir but insists that selling it isn’t the answer—they’ll find another way together.
Goodbyes, Texts, and a Missing Book
Later, Min privately apologizes to Yeon-joo, who tells him she’ll always remember their time together. They part on good terms. On their flight back, Yeon-joo leans her head on Beom-woo’s shoulder, and he smiles, touched by the gesture. But a text from his mother saying, “You owe me,” reminds him of the price of his boardroom move.
Upon returning, Beom-woo and Yeon-joo learn that Chun-seung hasn’t come into work. Beom-woo suddenly remembers Yu-jin and rushes to the garage—only to find Chun-seung locked inside instead. As Chun-seung explains the switch, Beom-woo races to the restaurant to search for the Jungjae recipe book. But it’s already gone.
A flashback reveals how Young-hye and Yu-jin broke into the restaurant to steal it. Now in possession of the book, Young-hye and her team prepare for the Diamant inspectors. As Beom-woo drives toward Seoul to stop her, Tastefully Yours Episode 7 comes to a dramatic close. For more recaps, check the link below.
