Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 7 Recap: Truths Come to Light

Emotional Breakthroughs in Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 7

The latest chapter in our unwritten seoul episode 7 opens with a nostalgic flashback where dreams from childhood are recalled. It then shifts back to the stormy night, where Mi-rae and Se-jin are still together. Just as the mood leans toward romance, Mi-rae’s stomach lets out a growl, bringing the moment to an awkward halt.

Mi-rae soon uncovers documents confirming what she suspected—Se-jin is actually Han Se-jin, the well-known figure from Ihan Asset Management. She’s clearly familiar with his reputation and expresses admiration for his talents, noting the many rumors tied to both his success and his sudden resignation. Se-jin, however, hints that he’ll explain everything in due time. While he seeks to understand the emotional weight Mi-rae carries, she remains closed off and guarded.

Elsewhere, Ho-su finds himself cornered during real estate negotiations. Despite pressure, he stands firmly by Ro-sa, refusing to deal with Chung-gu. Suspecting there’s more to the story, Ho-su digs deeper. Meanwhile, Chung-gu is doing his own investigating and discovers that Ro-sa was raised in an orphanage with no known family except a son. It’s revealed that her late husband was allegedly killed by Sang-wol, a fellow orphan, who was later convicted of domestic abuse. Ro-sa had given a statement that reduced Sang-wol’s sentence, but he has since passed away. This dark history may be the key reason she refuses to sell the property.

Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 7: Truths Come to Light
Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 7 delivers deep emotions, big reveals, and touching romantic developments as secrets begin to unravel between the twins.

Family Drama and Twin Trouble in Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 7

Our unwritten seoul episode 7 continues to build tension as Mi-ji’s coffee meeting with Ho-su is suddenly cut short when Ji-yun texts her to meet. But before Ji-yun arrives, Mi-ji is approached by a woman who harshly accuses her of being at work—this woman turns out to be Park Sang-yeong’s wife. Park’s name has come up in past episodes with rumors of workplace misconduct. The confrontation reveals a scandalous rumor that Mi-rae was romantically involved with her boss, which allegedly erupted in a public fight after the wife found out. While the full truth remains unclear, it’s suggested that this event heavily influenced Mi-rae’s mental health and may have led to suicidal thoughts.

Ji-yun steps in, revealing she’s been testing Mi-ji all along. She had already figured out the twin switch when Mi-ji mistakenly referenced something from Ro-sa’s basement, exposing herself. Ji-yun doesn’t confirm if Ho-su knows about the switch—but we, the viewers, know that he does.

The tangled web continues as Ho-su uncovers the affair rumor, originally framed as a sexual assault complaint. Mi-rae had withdrawn her accusation to avoid further scandal. Ho-su arrives to confront Mi-rae, who’s pretending to be Mi-ji, but their talk is disrupted when their mothers get into a heated argument on the stairwell, resulting in both ending up in the hospital.

Much of the blame falls on Kim Ok-Hui, who insulted Ho-su by calling him a burden. After getting her hair yanked by Bun-hong during the fight, Ok-Hui vows revenge, but the squabble feels more ridiculous than serious.

Things get even more tangled when both Mi-ji and Mi-rae encounter Se-jin and Ho-su after their hospital visit. Se-jin invites them all to a meal, where the conversations become delicate landmines, threatening to expose more than intended. After dinner, Mi-rae insists they return to their original identities. She even drops a bomb: Ho-su already knows about the switch—making Mi-ji’s earlier chat with him, where she spoke about Mi-ji’s feelings, much more awkward in hindsight.

Back at the strawberry farm, Mi-rae has a farewell talk with Se-jin. She’s unaware of just how seasoned he really is, and as they open up to one another, Se-jin shares a heartbreaking memory about his grandfather. During a critical business decision, Se-jin ignored his grandfather’s call. That same day, the old man died of heatstroke in the fields. The guilt from that moment shattered Se-jin and led to his resignation. He still honors his grandfather’s memory despite the lingering rumors.

Later, Mi-rae and Ho-su have a heart-to-heart, and Gyeong-gu shares a similar moment with Mi-ji. They discuss his new tattoo and the difficult choice she faces—whether to confess her feelings to Ho-su or hold back. Gyeong-gu plays a cheeky Cupid, even confronting Ho-su to speed things up. Ho-su hesitates, waiting for the “right time,” but Gyeong-gu wisely reminds him that the perfect moment doesn’t exist—then gives himself props for the advice.

Mi-rae, feeling a deep emotional shift, begins drafting her resignation letter. She suggests they delay switching roles for a bit longer. As she writes, she reflects on her long-standing insecurities and the imposter syndrome that’s weighed on her for so long. Leaving the job represents more than just quitting—it’s a symbolic release from the pressure of trying to measure up.

This emotional note mirrors Mi-ji’s own struggles when she was forced to leave her athletic career behind. Both twins are learning to redefine themselves in a world that often demands perfection and constant success.

The episode winds down with a tender moment—Ho-su takes Mi-ji outside and finally lays his heart on the line. With sincerity in his eyes, he confesses, “I like you.”

Our unwritten seoul episode 7 masterfully blends emotional storytelling, past trauma, and heartfelt confessions. From long-hidden secrets to long-awaited admissions, this episode deepens the emotional stakes and builds toward something much bigger. The twin switch plot thickens, the characters’ emotional wounds are laid bare, and the budding romance between Mi-ji and Ho-su takes a long-overdue leap forward. If this episode proves anything, it’s that Our Unwritten Seoul continues to deliver stories that are both raw and deeply human. For more recaps, check out the link below.
