Good Boy Episode 6 Recap: Drug Demon, Death, and Revenge
Good Boy Episode 6 recap kicks off with Dong-ju ignoring the doctor’s warnings about his deteriorating health. Brushing it off as mere vertigo, he quickly returns to his investigation, enamored by Han-na and eager to prove himself.
Meanwhile, suspicion mounts around Min Ju-yeong. Despite his suspiciously spotless record, Dong-ju suspects he’s been using a burner phone. His hunch leads him to a hidden spot near a parking lot where he finds the broken device—only to get stuck in a drainage hole during retrieval. His rivalry with Jong-hyeon intensifies as they compete for Han-na’s attention, trading barbs over the recent kiss.
Even after being kicked out of his mother’s noodle shop, Dong-ju shows his compassion by gently disciplining some local kids who vandalized the place. His mother notices his effort and invites him home for dinner, hinting at reconciliation.
Elsewhere, Drug Demon is holed up in the safehouse, impatient and bored, longing for Dong-ju’s return. She learns of a fake Candy supplier and uses this intel to manipulate the police into eliminating her competition. Dong-ju and Han-na, still recovering from a disagreement over her father’s case, are drawn into this trap.

As the team tracks down the Candy dealer, known as Bbong-pil, the case spirals into chaos. Bbong-pil notices the tail and tries to flee, resulting in a failed chase where Dong-ju nearly drowns. Back at the station, they realize Bbong-pil is clueless about Ju-yeong and the whole case—an outcome that ultimately benefits Drug Demon, who used the task force to clean up her operation.
Jeong-a’s sudden return from the Philippines throws another wrench into the mix. She’s placed in the same safehouse as Drug Demon, and their interaction is volatile. Meanwhile, Cheong-il Shipping’s records reveal a deeper conspiracy. The company was gutted and bought by TAE Corporation, which is linked to Ju-yeong via Oh Jong-gu and J9 Security. Chemical smuggling, shady logistics, and fake pollock imports all tie back to Ju-yeong’s empire.
The twist? TAE Corporation’s CEO is protected by political immunity—his father is none other than the Mayor of Insung City, Deok-gyu. Commissioner Cho is an ally too, making any attempt to topple this operation nearly impossible.
Despite being cornered, Ju-yeong escalates. In a shockingly brutal scene, he beats the Mayor to a pulp for dragging his name into trouble, showing just how unhinged he’s become. He laughs when questioned about his morality, blurring the lines between villain and anti-hero.
His next target is Man-sik. After a team dinner, Man-sik is attacked by Ju-yeong’s men, who steal his gun. Ju-yeong uses it to create a false crime scene, ensuring no fingerprints are left behind.
Han-na soon uncovers Drug Demon’s true identity. Unfortunately, Jeong-a learns this too, and they both vanish from the safehouse, sending the team into a panic. Jeong-a then hands over the captain’s daughter to Ju-yeong, aligning herself with the enemy. Ju-yeong, now holding Man-sik’s weapon, gets a disturbing idea.
While Dong-ju searches for answers, a package arrives. It’s Man-sik’s gun—emptied. By the time Dong-ju reaches the restaurant, it’s too late. He finds his mother, Gyeong-il, shot and barely clinging to life. The meal she prepared still sits on the table, cucumber slices neatly placed, the same food Ju-yeong always removed. This personal signature leaves no doubt.
Devastated and enraged, Dong-ju confronts Ju-yeong at the dock, landing a solid punch that knocks him down. But there’s a growing concern—hints of Dong-ju’s brain injury worsening. As the series hurtles forward, the consequences of revenge, trauma, and justice are coming to a head. For more K-drama recap, check out the link below.
