Our Movie Ep.6 Recap: Da-eum’s Hidden Pain and Seo-yeong’s Confrontation
Our Movie Ep.6 recap opens with a bittersweet flashback to Da-eum’s audition for Je-ha’s debut film The Lonely People. She thought she failed — never realising that Je-ha had been searching for her. Trying to shake off her disappointment, Da-eum’s college friend Eun-ho comforts her and even confesses his feelings, but she turns him down. Even then, Da-eum believed she didn’t deserve love because she was destined to die young.
Back in the present, that same fear lingers as Da-eum blurts out her feelings to Je-ha. But before anything can happen, her meal timer goes off — reality interrupts again. Je-ha gently tells her she’s not weird for liking him, but they can’t cross that line.
Meanwhile, Dr Lee fights to push a new clinical trial through — not as a cure, but to ease Da-eum’s pain and seizures. Elsewhere, Seung-won, desperate to distract from a rival director’s scandal, leaks Da-eum’s private photos to the press. Gossip explodes on set, but Da-eum stays calm — Je-ha, however, is quietly furious that she’s being dragged into tabloid drama. Agent Go, cornered and losing her grip, tries to sign Jae-in instead — only for Jae-in to see through her ploy. She reveals that she went to college with Da-eum for just one semester before Da-eum vanished without explanation. Assistant Min-hee secretly tips off Seo-yeong, who’s already suspicious.
Trying to stick to their boundaries, Je-ha drops Da-eum at Gyu-young’s house but regrets his harshness as soon as he leaves. A heartbroken Da-eum vents to Gyu-young, who tells her not to give up just because Je-ha’s walls are high.

Things get messier when Jae-in storms in, venting her jealousy. She resents Da-eum for cutting her off years ago only to reappear with a lead role while Jae-in’s stuck with scraps.
Behind the scenes, Je-ha digs deeper into Da-eum’s illness and confronts her father — he vows to protect Da-eum, promising to cancel the entire film if her health falters. He gives Dr Lee test footage to prove Da-eum’s passion is worth the risk. Seung-hee, Min-jeong’s mother, begs Dr Lee not to make the same mistake she did — holding her dying daughter back instead of letting her live. Moved, Dr Lee calls Da-eum, telling her to get checked up before shooting starts — a small gesture that brings her to tears.
When the remake’s makeup test day arrives, Da-eum’s exhaustion shows. Her makeup artist Ms Jo gossips about her sickly look while Da-eum sneaks off to pop her meds. But Jae-in stalks her, grabbing her bag — Da-eum, however, is ready. She’s labelled her pill bottles as Gyu-won’s props. Jae-in drops the issue for now, but her suspicion only grows. Unbeknownst to them, Seo-yeong overhears the whole thing from a bathroom stall.
Afterwards, Seung-won takes the crew out for dinner. Seo-yeong watches Je-ha fuss over Da-eum, jealousy gnawing at her. Eun-ho, now an assistant cameraman, approaches Da-eum, demanding to know why she vanished after college. Je-ha steps in, shielding Da-eum, then can’t hide his curiosity when she admits Eun-ho was her first love. Da-eum, in turn, worries aloud that getting close to anyone will only hurt them when she’s gone — Je-ha tries to reassure her but struggles with his own fears.
The night winds down with the team debating the original Love in White film — some love its tragic romance, while others scoff at the idea of loving someone who’s dying. Seo-yeong pointedly asks Je-ha if he really believes love can survive when death looms. Da-eum, uncomfortable with the raw truth hanging in the air, quietly slips outside.
Je-ha’s silence speaks volumes. Seung-won pulls him aside and bluntly asks if there’s more going on with Da-eum than he’s letting on.
In Our Movie Ep.6’s final gut-punch, Seo-yeong finds Da-eum outside and, with cold clarity, confronts her with the one question she fears most: Are you dying? For more K-Drama recaps, check out the link below.
