Liverpool Make Five Changes for Chelsea Clash as Isak Returns
Arne Slot has rung the changes once again as Liverpool prepare to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with Alexander Isak among those returning to the starting XI.
The Reds head to west London looking to bounce back after back-to-back defeats against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, results that have piled early pressure on Slot. Calls have been made for the manager to return to basics, but Liverpool are expected to stick with their new setup against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
One of the biggest headlines is Giorgi Mamardashvili making his Premier League debut in goal, replacing the injured Alisson. Conor Bradley also comes back into the side, joining Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Milos Kerkez across the backline.

In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch keeps his spot alongside Alexis Mac Allister, with Dominik Szoboszlai playing further forward as Florian Wirtz drops to the bench. Despite Alisson’s absence, Slot has been boosted by the return of Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa, both of whom are fit enough to make the squad.
Up front, Mohamed Salah is back in the lineup, linking up with Cody Gakpo on the wings to support Isak through the middle. The combination provides Liverpool with firepower as they look to halt their losing run and rediscover momentum in the Premier League.
