Jungkook Home Invasion: Korean Woman Referred to Prosecution
Public concern over the Jungkook home invasion case has reignited after police referred a Korean woman to the prosecution on charges of home invasion and stalking.
According to the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul, the suspect, identified only as “A,” was referred to the prosecution on the 14th for violating the Act on the Punishment of Home Invasion and Stalking. Police arrested her red-handed at around 11:20 PM on August 30th after she broke into the parking lot of Jungkook’s single-family home in Yongsan-gu.
This incident follows a similar case involving a Chinese woman who also attempted to break into the BTS member’s residence earlier this year. The Chinese woman, identified as “B,” was arrested at approximately 11:20 PM on June 11th — the same day Jungkook was discharged from military service — after she was caught repeatedly pressing the password on his front door.

On September 10th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office issued a suspended indictment for B. Prosecutors explained that while her actions constituted an attempted home invasion, her departure from Korea and low risk of reoffending were considered in the decision.
In contrast, the Korean suspect’s case has now been formally referred to the prosecution, signaling a more serious approach to what authorities consider repeated and escalating privacy intrusions against celebrities.
As investigations proceed, the public awaits whether stronger legal measures will be taken to ensure the safety and privacy of Jungkook and other public figures facing similar invasions.
