HYBE Strengthens Legal Action Against Malicious Posts Targeting ILLIT
HYBE has issued a strong and detailed statement announcing its expanded ILLIT legal response measures as the company faces a surge in malicious posts, false rumors, and defamation directed at its rookie girl group. According to the agency, attacks have rapidly increased across anonymous online communities, with some targeting members who are still minors — heightening concern and prompting stricter enforcement.
HYBE emphasized that they already take routine legal action against individuals who create or spread harmful content. However, due to the severity of the current situation, the company is also implementing additional ad-hoc measures. Their monitoring system tracks harmful posts in real time, ensuring that even deleted content is preserved as evidence.

Reaffirming their zero-tolerance stance, HYBE stated that insults, slander, false information, and any form of personal attack are considered criminal acts punishable by law. The strengthened ILLIT legal response covers all platforms — both domestic and international — including portal sites, social media, and online communities. The agency made it clear that there will be no settlements or leniency for offenders under any circumstances.
HYBE also expressed gratitude to fans who have submitted reports through the HYBE Artist Rights Violation Reporting Center, noting that fan-provided evidence has been instrumental in ongoing cases. The company promised continued updates as legal proceedings move forward, reassuring supporters that protecting the artists remains a top priority.
