SHINee’s Key Skips TV Filming Amid Overseas Tour, Not “Injection Aunt” Controversy
SHINee’s Key has recently drawn attention after missing scheduled filming for tvN’s Amazing Saturday and a studio shoot for MBC’s I Live Alone. On December 12, a representative from Amazing Saturday confirmed that Key did not participate in the week’s recording due to his pre-planned overseas tour, clarifying that his absence was not related to any external controversy.
Despite the explanation, Key’s absence sparked heightened speculation as it coincided with ongoing rumors surrounding the so-called “Injection Aunt,” a woman identified as “A,” who has been accused of providing illegal medical treatments to celebrities. The controversy first surfaced following allegations involving Park Na-rae, who was rumored to have received unlicensed medical injections. Although Park Na-rae denied any wrongdoing and stated she only received a vitamin IV from a licensed professional, subsequent checks revealed that A was not a registered medical doctor in Korea.

As a regular cast member of both Amazing Saturday and I Live Alone, Key was inevitably pulled into the discussion. Netizens began scrutinizing his alleged long-standing relationship with A after claims surfaced that she had known him for over a decade and had shared posts referencing a dog believed to be his. These details fueled further speculation, especially as other celebrities mentioned in connection with A, including Jung Jae-hyung and SHINee’s Onew, quickly addressed the rumors and distanced themselves.
Unlike others, Key has remained silent on the matter, which has only intensified public curiosity. However, reports indicate that his lack of response may simply be due to his current schedule overseas rather than an attempt to avoid the issue. Key is presently on his fourth solo concert tour, KEYLAND: Uncanny Valley, performing across major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas–Fort Worth, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Seattle from December 3 to 15.
