In a recent chat that felt more like a cozy coffee shop conversation than a formal interview, actor Jeong Eui opened up about her refreshingly honest and quirky daily routine—one that’s surprisingly relatable, despite her celebrity status. With fans growing increasingly curious about what their favorite stars do off-camera, Jeong Eui didn’t hold back, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at her off-day rituals, guilty pleasures, and skincare secrets.
The Ultimate Night Owl Lifestyle
Jeong Eui confessed right away: she’s a certified night owl. While most people are already halfway through their workday, she’s only just waking up.
“I wake up around 2 or 3 in the afternoon,” she says casually, “because I go to sleep at 5 or 6 in the morning.”
That’s right—Jeong Eui’s sleep schedule is completely flipped. She admits it’s not ideal for everyone, but it works for her. Her mornings (or rather, afternoons) begin with a meal, followed by a fairly structured schedule that includes personal training (PT), visits to the dermatologist, and a Pilates session.
Skincare is Sacred—Literally 3 Hours Sacred
After her outside errands are done, she returns home, eats dinner, and begins what could only be described as a dedicated evening wind-down.
She tidies up the house, finishes laundry, washes up, and then applies a face mask. But unlike most of us who slap one on for 20 to 30 minutes, Jeong Eui wears hers for three hours.
“It takes three hours to dry!” she exclaims. “So I lie down, watch YouTube, and video call RYUJIN while wearing the mask. I don’t take it off until it’s fully dry.”
And yes, video calls with Ryujin (from ITZY) are an essential part of her nightly ritual. The two chat until they’re both in bed, phone batteries often dying mid-conversation, only to be charged again just so the call can continue. It’s the kind of wholesome friendship we don’t see often but love to hear about.
Lotion Application Spot? The Living Room.
Another charming quirk? Jeong Eui doesn’t use her vanity. Despite having one set up in a spare room, she finds herself applying all her lotions in the living room.
“I just don’t end up using the small room much,” she laughs. “So I brought everything out and now I just keep moving back and forth with my lotion.”
The conversation quickly turns into a humorous back-and-forth about unused rooms, cold floors, and the weird little habits we all secretly have at home.
Childhood Memories and Giant Rice Bowls
One of the most endearing parts of the conversation came when Jeong Eui talked about her family’s eating habits growing up.
“We didn’t use rice bowls,” she shares. “We used soup bowls for rice—these big bowls. Everyone had their own.”
She only discovered what a traditional rice bowl looked like when she went to the market with her mom, who pointed at a dainty one and said, “Let’s get this for rice.”
“I thought she was buying a saucer,” Jeong Eui recalls with a laugh. “I’d never seen a bowl that small for rice.”
It’s small anecdotes like these that make her feel so down-to-earth and relatable, despite her on-screen glamour.
Snack Obsession: Oh-ing, Mat-dong-san, and Jelly
Like many of us, Jeong Eui has a soft spot for snacks. Whether it’s after a long day or as a little reward, her post-work ritual involves a trip to the convenience store.
“That’s my little moment of happiness,” she says with a sparkle in her eye. “I grab as many snacks as I want and lay them all out when I get home, thinking, ‘What should I eat first today?’”
Her recent snack obsessions include nacho chips and the elusive “Oh-ing” snack, which she now orders in bulk online because it’s no longer sold in many stores. Mat-dong-san also made her favorites list, but only if she can have three packs at once—anything less just doesn’t hit the spot.
She’s also a jelly enthusiast, with MyChew being her go-to on set. At one point, she ordered 20 jellies at once from B Mart just to keep her stash full.
“Without jelly, I feel uneasy,” she says sincerely. Honestly, same.
“Crushology 101” and the World’s Most Casual Promotion
Despite all the fun stories, Jeong Eui was technically there to promote her upcoming drama Crushology 101, an MBC Friday-Saturday drama.
“It premieres on April 4th… or maybe April 11th?” she says, laughing at her own uncertainty. “Let me try both takes!”
Her co-host jokes that neither can be used if she says both dates in one take, but the moment is so charming that viewers might not even care.
Eventually, she confirms it: “Crushology 101” will air on April 4th at 9:50 PM on MBC.
Today’s TMI: Shopping Cart Chaos
To close out the session, she’s asked to share a TMI—something personal, random, and maybe even trivial. Her answer?
“This morning, I must’ve wanted to eat something badly. I filled my cart with snacks… but fell asleep before ordering. I was so tired.”
The stress of not completing the order still lingered with her during the day.
