The chaos continues to mount in Bet Episode 7, with Yumeko reaching her breaking point as she faces the humiliating status of house pet. Forced into menial chores like laundry and cleaning, Yumeko is quickly running out of time to qualify for the student council—a crucial step in her mission to challenge the ruling board. With just ten days left, the stakes are higher than ever.
Meanwhile, Kira reintroduces a long-banned event known as the House Pet Hunt. Previously banned for being too deadly, the event once offered the only way for house pets to erase their debts. Now, it’s back in full force. Yumeko reconnects with Wendy, the same student who once guided her to the secret council chamber, and learns about the hunt’s grim past. Despite the risks, Yumeko convinces Ryan to join her in competing.
Before the carnage begins, Yumeko discreetly passes a hand-drawn map to Michael, asking him to use the distraction of the hunt to investigate Ray. Michael’s stealth mission is derailed by a student nicknamed “the beaver,” but Dori intervenes, leading to a surprising revelation: Michael’s father and Dori’s mother once dated. Michael also recovers a torn photo of his father, a key puzzle piece from previous episodes.
The hunt itself is brutal. Student council member Runa explains the rules: contestants must collect jeweled eggs scattered across the forest. The golden egg alone is worth $100,000. Players are armed with crossbows and allowed to stop their opponents by any means necessary. Surveillance cameras track movements, and anyone who leaves the forest before sundown is expelled.
As the hunt commences, all-out chaos erupts. Chad targets Yumeko, while she teaches Ryan how to use a crossbow to defend themselves. Elsewhere, Riri and Mary watch the hunt from the council chamber, but Mary eventually leaves, uninterested in the bloodshed.
In the woods, Yumeko and Ryan locate an egg, only to be ambushed by Suki, who wounds Yumeko in the leg. The pair retaliates by destroying surveillance cameras, prompting Kira to intervene personally. Just as they come close to escaping with the golden egg, Kira launches a final ambush, forcing them to retreat.
Ultimately, Suki is declared the winner, and Yumeko, injured and defeated, remains shackled by her house pet status. Her situation worsens when she learns that Mary bet against her. With Riri’s help, Mary has now moved closer to the top of the student rankings, further complicating Yumeko’s position.
Back in the library, Yumeko meets with Michael, who admits he found nothing on Ray. However, Yumeko notices something strange—a broken photo frame. After piecing it together, she encourages Michael to keep searching. The episode closes with Michael calling his father, only to learn that in high school, his father used to go by the name Ray.
Bet Episode 7 recap ends with more questions than answers, as the series continues to unravel secrets and pit characters against each other in a game where survival, betrayal, and identity are all on the line.
