Blitzway Studios has officially changed its name to Blitzway Entertainment, signaling its full transformation into a content-driven, comprehensive entertainment company.
On March 28, Blitzway Entertainment announced that the name change was approved during a regular shareholder meeting. The rebranding aligns with a broader strategic shift toward developing artist IP and producing original content. The move is aimed at enhancing the company’s corporate image, diversifying its business, and solidifying its identity as a major content player.
Blitzway, originally recognized in the global premium figure market for its advanced molding technology and visual branding expertise, is now expanding its reach across the drama, film, and entertainment industries. While maintaining its figure business, the company is accelerating the development of an integrated system that connects artist management, content production, and global distribution.
The global expansion of its talent is also gaining momentum. Joo Ji-hoon, known for Netflix’s Severe Trauma Center, has confirmed his lead role in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the hit webtoon Remarried Empress. Chun Woo-hee, who recently topped Netflix’s global rankings with The 8 Show and Not a Hero, will star in My Youth alongside Song Joong-ki. Meanwhile, Woo Do-hwan is set to captivate global fans with the second season of Bloodhounds, showcasing a refined mix of action and emotional performance.
Blitzway Entertainment is also ramping up drama production. Under its production division, Blitzway Productions is preparing several new projects, including revenge thrillers, mystery series, and youth dramas in collaboration with prominent writers such as Yoo Bo-ra (Secret) and Jang Hong-chul (Mr. Period Festival). The company previously produced Love on the Breeze Tree Bridge for tvN and, with support from the Content Promotion Agency, has begun producing short films while exploring co-productions with both domestic broadcasters and global OTT platforms.
“This rebranding marks a strategic leap in response to the evolving content market,” said Bae Sung-woong, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We aim to further strengthen our global competitiveness through a new growth model that merges story-driven content with artist IP
