Choi Yeon-cheong has joyfully shared the news of her baby’s arrival. On May 6, the actress took to social media to personally announce the birth of her son, Luca (Tae-myung), expressing both relief and awe.
A Difficult Delivery, A Joyful Arrival
“At the end of a 30-hour induction, the uterine door finally opened,” Choi wrote. “But because Luca was facing sideways, we had to go with a C-section.” Despite the long and exhausting process, she added with relief, “He’s healthy and doing well now.”
She also expressed her amazement: “I still can’t believe that that little one was inside my stomach. It’s surreal.”
Overflowing Gratitude
Choi Yeon-cheong didn’t hold back her emotions, thanking her son directly: “Thank you for being born healthy, my son.” Her heartfelt message captured the emotional weight of the moment and the joy of finally holding her child in her arms.
A Star with Resilience
Choi first made headlines in 2013 as Miss Korea Jeonbuk Sun and debuted in the entertainment scene through Super Junior’s “Magic” music video in 2015. She went on to appear in popular dramas like Miss Hammurabi, Where Your Eyes Linger, and Turn: The Street, earning steady acclaim for her acting.
Having battled thyroid cancer, Choi Yeon-cheong’s road to motherhood hasn’t been easy. In 2023, she married a sitting judge in a deeply meaningful ceremony. At the time, she described her husband as “a very precious person… someone who stood by me like a pine tree when I was at my lowest.”
