In a touching and memorable visit, Code Kunst returned to his old high school to meet with current students, bringing not just gifts, but real life advice, encouragement, and a glimpse into his journey as an artist.
Starting with Heart: Courage and Dream-Chasing
At the beginning of the visit, Code Kunst praised a student’s bold move of preparing a USB with his music to share. He admired the student’s courage and go-getter mindset, sharing his own story about handing his beat CDs to artists outside music halls in his youth — a small, brave action that changed his life.
“Those actions change your life. You have to do everything you can to make your dreams and thoughts come true.”
He emphasized that taking chances, even imperfect ones, is what sets you apart.
Laughs Over the Infamous Green Uniform
When asked about the school uniform, Code Kunst didn’t hold back, jokingly calling it “bl st” and recalling how he was teased and called a “grasshopper” because of it. Despite that, he encouraged students to appreciate the updated sports uniforms, humorously comparing the old ones to Squid Game tracksuits.
The Lucky Draw: A Rollercoaster of Excitement
Code Kunst then surprised the students with a lucky draw event, packed with unexpected gifts:
- Sneakers and stylish clothes 🎁
- His personal merchandise and vinyl albums 🎵
- A hilarious photo gift taken by Jun Hyun-moo 📸 (which caused some priceless reactions!)
Students were thrilled and their reactions were full of pure excitement — their happiness even making the teacher a little jealous!
A Meal to Remember: Afterparty at the Chinese Restaurant
To cap it all off, Code Kunst hosted a dinner party, treating the students to an extravagant Chinese meal at a popular Yeonsu-dong restaurant.
Everyone ordered extra large portions — jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, pepper steak, seafood jjamppong, and more. It was pure chaos in the best way — food flying, laughter booming, and memories being made.
Amidst the lively meal, one student asked for feedback on his music, and Code Kunst gave thoughtful advice about the importance of a natural tone in songwriting, stressing the importance of first impressions (especially intros).
“The intro decides everything.”
Final Thoughts: A Day of Inspiration
Through laughter, honest conversations, and full bellies, Code Kunst’s visit wasn’t just about giving — it was about connecting, inspiring, and believing in the dreams of the next generation.
He reminded the students — and all of us — that success starts from small acts of courage and genuine passion.
“You might meet one or two of these students again in the future.”
And maybe, thanks to moments like these, dreams will come true.
