Dear Hongrang Episode 6 delivers high-stakes drama as Gyu-ha warns Hong-rang that Kkot-nim has ordered Jae-yi’s death. To keep her safe, Gyu-ha urges him to let her marry Ju-yeol. But Jae-yi attempts to flee and is quickly recaptured by Yuk-son, who threatens Mu-jin’s group. With only five days left until the ceremony, Mu-jin receives a note from Lady Ko — the marriage can be annulled since she’s still married to Ju-yeol. She plans to crash the wedding and expose the truth.

Chaos at the Wedding in Dear Hongrang Episode 6
As the wedding begins, Mu-jin’s men search for Lady Ko in vain. Jae-yi looks terrified during the ceremony, and Hong-rang is riddled with guilt. It turns out he’s the one who tipped off Mu-jin and helped Lady Ko escape. Things worsen when he learns that Yeon-ui plans to murder Jae-yi, frame Ju-yeol, and steal his land under the guise of a prenup violation.
While Mu-jin rushes to stop the consummation, Yeon-ui’s assassin poisons Jae-yi and attacks. Hong-rang intervenes, killing the attacker and hiding her. Jae-yi briefly regains consciousness, disoriented, and mistakes Hong-rang for someone else as she holds his hand and receives a kiss from him. Meanwhile, Mu-jin confronts Ju-yeol over her disappearance, but Yeol-guk interrupts the standoff by presenting Lady Ko. She exposes Ju-yeol, rendering the marriage void due to her living status as his legal wife.
Even after the annulment, Jae-yi remains missing. Mu-jin grows suspicious of Hong-rang, but Hong-rang plays it off, pretending to be drunk. In-hoe sees through him and gently confronts the truth — Hong-rang has fallen for Jae-yi. The next morning, Jae-yi returns to her room, unsure of what really happened. Her hazy memory doesn’t align with Hong-rang’s story of being passed out drunk.
Desperate, Hong-rang pleads with Kkot-nim to spare Jae-yi, promising to deliver the Min Guild’s partition deed instead. But Kkot-nim, still bitter from Yeol-guk’s betrayal, doesn’t trust Jae-yi either.
Yeol-guk, meanwhile, is caught off guard when Gyu-ha proposes they join forces. It’s revealed that the Sims were a struggling family and Yeol-guk originally aimed to use the Min family’s wealth to elope with Kkot-nim. Gyu-ha acts sympathetic, stating that Yeon-ui is the real threat.
Later, Jae-yi confronts Hong-rang about the kiss. She wishes it had been a dream, fearing the pain of it being real. Hong-rang tells her it was just a dream, but his sad expression says otherwise. Trying to shift focus, he sets Yeon-ui up by implying that Yeol-guk is cheating on her, leading her to send Yuk-son to tail him.
Unfortunately for the Sims, Yeol-guk establishes a hidden guild under his name and assigns Mu-jin as guildmaster. Together, they begin transferring the Min Guild’s assets. Their plan moves forward as the royal registry officially gives the Min Guild’s title to the Muns. Yeon-ui fumes, and Yeol-guk suggests a partnership, but Yuk-son soon reveals that he’s secretly meeting Gyu-ha — Kkot-nim’s brother. Yeon-ui realizes the betrayal and explodes in anger.
Elsewhere, Mu-jin is briefly hopeful when Jae-yi seems to distance herself from Hong-rang, but he finds her sketchbook filled with drawings of Hong-rang in disguise. Meanwhile, Yuk-son follows Mu-jin’s men to the Min silver mine and sets off a deadly bomb, killing most of them. By the episode’s end, Yeon-ui accuses Mu-jin of illegal sulfur trading, causing deaths and embezzling from the Min Guild to fund the Sim Guild. She gives Yeol-guk an ultimatum: hand Mu-jin over to authorities or deal with it in-house. Yeol-guk chooses the latter — letting her take Mu-jin captive.
