Seventeen Fourth Unit? Escoops and Min-gyu Rumored
The rumor mill is spinning as Seventeen fans wonder if Escoops and Min-gyu are about to launch the group’s much-speculated fourth unit.
On the 11th, Pledis Entertainment responded to reports with a brief statement to Top Star News, saying, “We can’t confirm that.” This non-committal answer has only fueled curiosity, leaving the possibility open but unverified for now.
Earlier that same day, My Daily exclusively reported that Seventeen’s leader Escoops and Min-gyu are preparing to team up as a new sub-unit. If true, this would mark Seventeen’s fourth official unit since their debut with 17 CARAT ten years ago.

Over the years, Seventeen has expanded their group’s reach through unique unit activities. Notably, BSS (Busuksoon) — composed of Seungkwan, DK (Dokyeom), and Hoshi — debuted in 2018 with Just Do It and gained steady popularity with songs like Fighting and Jeans. In June last year, Jeonghan and Wonwoo dropped their unit single album THIS MAN, while Hoshi and Woozi formed a unit earlier this March, releasing BEAM with the title track Same Age.
This May, Seventeen marked their 10th anniversary with their fifth studio album HAPPY BURSTDAY, featuring three full group tracks and solo songs by each of the 13 members — a total of 16 tracks showcasing their range and growth.
For now, whether Escoops and Min-gyu will officially debut as Seventeen’s next unit remains to be seen. Fans will have to stay tuned for further updates from Pledis Entertainment.
