MBC’s upcoming comedy-action drama “Oh My Ghost Clients” has unveiled captivating stills of VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon, showcasing his transformation into the uniquely eccentric video content creator, Go Kyun Woo. Premiering on May 30 at 9:50 p.m. KST, the drama stars Jung Kyung Ho as Noh Moo Jin, a labor attorney with the ability to see ghosts.
Cha Hak Yeon’s character, Go Kyun Woo, is a former journalist who now passionately runs the dopamine-fueled YouTube channel, Kyunjjang TV. Initially prioritizing views and viral potential over meaningful content, Kyun Woo’s perspective begins to evolve as he joins Noh Moo Jin and fellow advocate Na Hee Joo (played by Seol In Ah) in their visits to various labor sites. This exposure to the poignant stories of vengeful ghosts gradually reveals a more sincere and empathetic side to his personality.
The newly released stills offer a glimpse into Kyun Woo’s quirky charm, capturing his energetic approach to live broadcasting with camera in hand and his knack for brainstorming attention-grabbing ideas to boost viewership. Another intriguing image shows him clad in work attire, hinting at his plans to infiltrate labor sites, sparking curiosity about his methods and motivations.
As Go Kyun Woo, Cha Hak Yeon is expected to build a dynamic rapport with the principled attorney Noh Moo Jin, whom he seemingly admires. Furthermore, the drama teases a potential romantic development between Kyun Woo and the spirited Na Hee Joo, suggesting a relationship that could blossom beyond mere friendship.
The production team lauded Cha Hak Yeon’s dedication to the role, stating, “Cha Hak Yeon found a character that allowed him to tap into his new charms, delivering an outstanding performance. It was impressive watching Cha Hak Yeon become a different person once the camera started rolling like his character Kyun Woo,” further fueling anticipation for his portrayal in this upcoming comedy. Viewers can look forward to witnessing Cha Hak Yeon’s transformation and the intriguing narrative of “Oh My Ghost Clients” when it premieres next month.
