Good Boy Ep 2: Gang Takedown Turns Dong-ju Into a Hero
In Good Boy Ep 2, the action continues with explosive showdowns, emotional stakes, and an unfolding mystery that keeps viewers on edge. The star athletes take down violent gangs, but beneath the cheers and spotlight lies a dark secret waiting to be unraveled.
Dong-ju delivers a stunning victory by defeating the gang and their feared leader, the Golden Bunny, during an intense confrontation at the warehouse. With Man-sik arriving just in time with reinforcements, the operation ends in arrests, making Dong-ju an instant hero in the public eye.
Meanwhile, Han-na handles her attackers with a paintball gun, leaving a floor full of paint-splattered thugs by the time Jong-hyun reaches her. At the police station, the entire athlete squad is celebrated as overnight sensations.
Later that evening, Dong-ju has a heartfelt meeting with his brother Gyeong-il, urging him to undergo surgery. But that night, Gyeong-il vanishes—leading Dong-ju to suspect the involvement of his former coach, the man who introduced his brother to drugs.
A PR Stunt Disguised as a Crime-Fighting Unit
Riding the wave of their success, Man-sik proposes a new elite unit of pro athletes to the commissioner. The team receives their own cabin and official roles, but things take a turn when Dong-ju notices a familiar golden watch on the Golden Bunny—identical to one worn by the hit-and-run culprit. Before they can investigate further, they discover the athlete unit is more of a PR stunt than a real task force.
During a public demonstration of bulletproof vests, the commissioner humiliates Han-na by making her shoot dummies. In a fit of rage, she turns the paintball gun on him, breaking his rib. Jong-hyun steps in to spin it as a staged act, but Han-na resigns regardless.
A Chaotic Chase and a Heart-Pounding Twist
With Han-na gone, Man-sik receives a tip about the stolen documents. He, Dong-ju, Jae-hong, and Jong-hyun pursue it, but chaos erupts when Man-sik unknowingly consumes drugged candy. Acting like a zombie, he scares off the gangsters in a bizarrely comedic moment.
During the chase, Jong-hyun suffers a panic attack while fighting a thug, and nearly gets stabbed. Under the influence, Man-sik steps in and takes the blow instead. Dong-ju rushes him to the hospital using a shopping cart due to gridlocked traffic, a mix of urgency and absurd humor.
The Hit-and-Run Conspiracy Deepens
Elsewhere, Gyeong-il is tortured into confessing to the hit-and-run, while evidence links Dong-ju’s former coach to the incident.
When Dong-ju returns to the station, he sees his brother arrested and chooses not to tell their mother. Attending the victim’s funeral, he spots someone wearing the same gold watch from the crime. Investigating further, Dong-ju checks the customs records at the victim’s workplace and identifies Min Ju-yeong as the real perpetrator—proving Gyeong-il’s confession was forced.
