Good Boy Episode 3: Dong-ju Fights Back and Han-na Uncovers the Past
Good Boy Episode 3 begins with Han-na stepping back into the spotlight for another championship, but her big moment is cut short. As she prepares to set a new record, her long hair comes undone and breaks her concentration, causing her to lose the match—a subtle but significant crack in her confident facade.
Meanwhile, Dong-ju spots Ju-young at the customs office and causes a commotion. He’s soon reported and taken back to the station, where he claims that Min Ju-young is the hit-and-run suspect. Lacking solid proof, his claims fall flat—until fellow officer Jong-hyeon enters and challenges him to a sparring match. Jong-hyeon wins, revealing that he’s a skilled Taekwondo practitioner, having trained since childhood.
Tensions Mount as Dong-ju Investigates Gyeong-il’s Case
With the other officers away, Gyeong-il’s arrest makes national news. Dong-ju visits his mother, who insists that the truth will come out and her son will be freed. Fueled by her words, Dong-ju begins tracing the imported vehicle Ju-young used on the night of the crime.
Complications arise when Jong-hyeon learns that the prosecutor now handling Gyeong-il’s case is none other than his estranged brother, adding more drama to the legal chaos.

Gyeong-il’s Death Sends Shockwaves
Dong-ju urges Gyeong-il to speak the truth, but the latter refuses. Behind the scenes, Ju-young bribes a prison guard to silence Gyeong-il. Tragically, Gyeong-il is later found dead in prison, staged as a suicide. The only clue? A guard’s luxury watch left at the scene.
The death causes a rift between Dong-ju and Gyeong-il’s mother, who now wants nothing to do with him. Enraged, Dong-ju lashes out at Ju-young in a physical attack and announces he will no longer follow any of his terms.
Han-na’s Discovery Exposes Deeper Corruption
Han-na, having recently resigned, stumbles upon a watch in her late father’s belongings that looks identical to Ju-young’s. A visit to a local pawn shop reveals it may be a rare edition linked to a notorious smuggler, though its authenticity remains uncertain.
At the same time, Ju-young eliminates the guard who bungled the job, and begins to suspect Han-na is poking too deeply into his affairs.
Personal Revelations and a Shift in Team Dynamics
In a flashback, it’s revealed that Gyeong-il was never Dong-ju’s brother—only a rival who got injured during a sparring match. Elsewhere, Han-na discovers her mother secretly listed her father’s home for sale to cover personal debts, a betrayal that mirrors her distraction during the crucial competition years ago. She also finds out her mom had been too focused on work to support her in that defining moment.
Weakened by chronic illness, Han-na collapses outside the police station but is caught by Dong-ju just in time. Later, Jong-hyeon discovers someone has been snooping into Han-na’s police records, suggesting she’s now a target.
A Renewed Purpose and a Bold Warning
In a moving moment, Han-na returns the medal Dong-ju once pawned, inspiring him to continue transcribing the crucial book that will keep Ju-young from suing him. Han-na officially retracts her resignation, and Jong-hyeon joins the team to offer her protection.
The episode ends with a gripping confrontation—Dong-ju breaks into the customs office, faces Ju-young, and coldly tells him that he’s coming for him. For more recap related to Good Boy, do check out the link below.
