HYBE and Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE has made a remarkable entry into one of the world’s most prestigious music charts. Their latest single “Gnarly” debuted at No. 52 on the UK Official Singles Chart for the week of May 9–15, 2025, marking the group’s first appearance on the chart.
“Gnarly” also made a strong showing on Spotify. It debuted at No. 60 on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart (May 2–8) with over 13.2 million streams, surpassing the group’s previous record with “Touch.” In the United States, the song entered Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs chart at No. 68, collecting around 3.3 million streams.
The song also experienced a steep rise on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart, starting at No. 91 on May 2 and climbing to No. 35 by May 7. In the U.S., it reached as high as No. 53 on the daily chart with over 500,000 daily streams.
“Gnarly” blends hyper-pop with dance and funk, showcasing bold sound, confident messaging, and high-energy performance. The group’s electrifying stages on Korean music programs from May 1 to 4 caught fire online, rapidly going viral and drawing attention from international fans.
KATSEYE, consisting of members Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae, debuted in June 2024 through the global audition project “The Debut: Dream Academy.” Their second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025. The group describes it as their most definitive artistic statement yet.
With “Gnarly” gaining momentum on global charts and buzz growing for their upcoming EP, KATSEYE is well on their way to becoming a dominant force in global pop.
