Kian84 Reflects on Final Journey in Adventure by Accident Season 4
Adventure by Accident Season 4 marks another challenging yet meaningful journey for Kian84, who now reveals it may be his final appearance on the hit travel variety show.
At the production presentation for MBC’s Adventure by Accident Season 4 (also known as Taegye Iljoo 4), held on May 8 at Sangam MBC in Mapo-gu, Seoul, cast member Kian84 shared emotional reflections about the latest season. “I thought the new season would never come, but I’m glad to be back,” he said, before adding, “This was the hardest trip I’ve ever taken.”
In this season, Kian84 teams up once again with Panibottle, Lee Si-eon (often romanized as Isian), and Dex. Together, they embark on an intense trek through Chamagodo, a remote region in Nepal known for its high-altitude routes and untouched terrain. The team describes it as their toughest challenge yet, both physically and mentally.
“Every season we say, ‘This was the hardest,’ but this time it truly was,” admitted Panibottle. “As the only one who doesn’t exercise, I initially thought I’d sit back and take it easy, but being around these guys pushed me to try. And I felt just how big that gap is.”
Kian84, who fell ill after previous seasons, shared that this time he was sick for a month after filming, requiring IV drips. Despite the toll, he said he finally felt like he had reached a sense of closure. “This is my last season,” he declared. “The producers told me not to say that, but I want to step down while the applause is still loud.”
Fellow castmate Lee Si-eon also got emotional while talking about filming. “Each day felt precious and joyful. During an interview with the crew, I suddenly thought, ‘Is this the last time we’ll be together?’ and tears came out unexpectedly,” he said.
Kian84, who won the Grand Prize at the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards for his role in the series, emphasized that his creative journey had reached a natural end. “When I wrapped up my webtoon, I felt a similar sense of conclusion. I don’t want to force another season if I’m burned out.”
