Kian84 Reflects on His Final Journey in Adventure by Accident Season 4
The Adventure by Accident team embarks on their most intense journey yet in Season 4, facing the highest altitudes, longest distances, and the most grueling race of their careers. In this season, the cast, including Kian84, Panibottle, and Lee Si-eon (Isian), tackle the monumental task of navigating the rugged terrains of the Nepalese Himalayas and Chamagodo.
At the production presentation of MBC’s Born to Run Around the World 4 (aka Taegye Iljoo 4) on May 8 at the Sangam MBC building in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the trio, along with PD Kim Ji-woo, shared their thoughts on what made this journey so unique. Kian84 expressed his relief and exhaustion: “This was the hardest part of the trip so far. After returning from filming, I was sick for about a month, but now I feel proud that we’ve completed it. I realized this could be my last trip.”
The series, which explores the final natural archetype of the mountain, takes the team on an epic adventure through high-altitude regions like the Himalayas, following in the footsteps of previous seasons that focused on the “grass” of the Amazon, the “fire” of India, and the “water” of Madagascar.
Isaiah, a first-time member since Season 1, opened up about the hardships and rewards of the journey: “Every day was important and I was happy because I was with my friends. The training at the Gurkha Mercenary Academy was intense. It’s something you can only experience on the show.”
Panibottle echoed the sentiments, admitting that this season was both the hardest and most enjoyable. “We always say each season is different, but this one really pushed us to our limits. I didn’t try to be different here like I do on my YouTube channel, and that made the experience all the more genuine,” he said.
One of the highlights of the season was the challenging training at the Gurkha Mercenary School, where Dex shined as the top performer of the cast. “At the start, Dex was awkward with the others,” Panibottle said. “But this season, he’s the one leading the charge. He’s improved in his communication, and the group dynamic has been amazing.”
Kian84 also shared his admiration for Dex’s personal growth: “Dex is excellent at self-reflection. He still maintains the same humility and grounded attitude he had when he was a soldier, and I truly admire that about him.”
PD Kim Ji-woo emphasized that this season was approached with the idea of it being the “last dance” for the team. “In previous seasons, we thought it might be our last, but this time, we were particularly determined to make it memorable,” he said. “The show is about going to places the cast really wants to visit, so it’s up to them to decide if they want to continue in the future.”
