Rookie boy group Kickflip — comprised of members Kyehoon, Amaru, Fairytale, Juwang, Minje, Kage, and Donghyun — is making a high-speed return just four months after their debut. Their first comeback mini-album, “Kick Out, Flip Now!”, is set to drop on May 26th at 6 p.m. KST, and expectations are soaring.
Kickflip originally burst onto the scene with their debut single “Mama Said,” quickly gaining attention for their rebellious energy and Gen Z appeal. Within just 33 days of debuting, they secured nominations for two music awards and topped multiple weekly charts, including the Circle Chart, with their first mini-album — establishing themselves as a K-pop super rookie to watch.
On May 2nd, their agency JYP Entertainment kicked off the comeback promotions by releasing the album trailer and promotion scheduler through official SNS channels. The trailer captured Kickflip’s signature free-spirited flair, showing the members breaking free from mundane daily routines—offices, classrooms, hospitals—with punchy, youthful phrases like “Do you want to take care of me today?” and culminating in a powerful scene of liberation on a bridge, shouting “Let’s just throw away the moniker and let’s just moan!”
The comeback mini-album, “Kick Out, Flip Now!”, reflects the group’s ambition to shatter stereotypes and change the game. The promotional rollout will include a track list, concept photos, track video, and music video, leading up to their comeback showcase at 8 p.m. KST on May 26, just two hours after the album’s release.
With a strong start already under their belt, Kickflip is poised to level up and further solidify their place in the K-pop scene with this dynamic new release.
