KBS 2TV’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama 24h Gymnasium is set to premiere on May 30 at 9:50 PM KST, delivering a refreshing mix of emotional healing, humor, and muscle-powered motivation.
Directed by Park Joon-soo and Choi Yeon-soo, with a script by Kim Ji-soo, the drama is co-produced by CJ ENM STUDIOS, Bon Factory, Monster Union, and KeyEast.
The story follows Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young), a world-class bodybuilder who unexpectedly takes over a struggling neighborhood gym. Opposite him is Jeong Eun-ji as Miran, a down-on-her-luck woman who stumbles into the gym—and into a life-changing journey—after a painful breakup.
The pair’s first encounter is both fateful and humorous, with Hyun-jung offering a gym flyer to a heartbroken Miran in the middle of the street. Their connection begins with a single workout that ends up turning both their lives around. The drama teases a mix of warm character growth, uplifting comedic moments, and emotional healing, packaged as a “muscle growth comic” with heart.
In the latest stills, viewers get a glimpse of Miran’s emotionally vulnerable state after a public breakup and her reluctant introduction to the gym life. Meanwhile, Hyun-jung’s earnest, no-nonsense expression hints that his role in Miran’s transformation will be more than just a physical one.
With a promising blend of heart, humor, and high-energy gym scenes, 24h Gymnasium is shaping up to be a uniquely inspiring K-drama this spring.
