Mercy for None Episode 7 Recap: Truth Revealed, Final Showdown
Mercy for None Episode 7 begins with Geum-son discovering a hidden gun among Yeong-do’s possessions in his office, hinting at unfinished business. As Chairman Ju-woon’s funeral commences, the broader chess game behind the scenes continues. Seong-won, seemingly preparing to flee by ship, claims he has a bigger plan than disappearing. But he’s ambushed by two gangsters and betrayed by his own colleague, who steals a suitcase full of cash—an orchestrated move carried out under Geum-son’s orders, as directed by Seong-cheol.
Meanwhile, Gi-jun intercepts Yeong-do’s men transporting a package retrieved from the golf club. Inside are audio recordings exposing criminal secrets involving Geum-son, Ju-woon, Bong-san, and others. After swiftly dispatching the transporters, Gi-jun secures the incriminating flash drive. He is then confronted by the deadly Japanese assassin Kaneyama. Recognizing him as the man who killed Gi-seok, Gi-jun channels his fury into a brutal fight and ultimately defeats him.
Finally, Yeong-do—once known as Mr. Kim—faces his reckoning. Despite managing to shoot Gi-jun twice, it isn’t enough to stop him. Gi-jun pushes forward and delivers Yeong-do a brutal, vengeful death. Back at the church, Geum-son meets with the Deputy Chief Prosecutor and Yeong-do’s mole, now the new head of the Bongsan Group. He secures their allegiance with promises of control and immunity. Gi-jun later appears at the funeral to pay his respects and calmly informs Geum-son that they’ll be seeing each other soon.

After visiting Gi-seok’s resting place, Gi-jun hands Hae-beom the recording that incriminates Geum-son. He warns Hae-beom to wait for his call and avoid escalating violence. Geum-son, however, continues his political maneuvering. With his superior, he blackmails the Prosecutor General into joining their alliance. The Juwoon Group and Bongsan Group officially merge, rebranding De’cro Hotel as JW De’cro. During the celebratory event, Geum-son gives a chilling speech about reshaping the system and legalizing their control—but the victory is short-lived.
Thanks to Lawyer Yoon’s help, Hae-beom leaks the voice recording to the press. As media reports expose Geum-son’s crimes, the event quickly unravels. Enraged by public humiliation, Geum-son viciously murders the Deputy Chief Prosecutor. Seong-cheol urges him to flee and promises to clean up the mess. When Gi-jun arrives at the hotel, Seong-cheol orders the guards to stand down but betrays Gi-jun by stabbing him. The two fight, and despite the emotional weight of their history, Gi-jun kills him.
Gi-jun then tracks Geum-son to his father’s home. He finds him seated in Ju-woon’s chair, a shell of his former self. Gi-jun confronts him about the price of power. Geum-son confesses that although he once enjoyed winning, the thrill is gone. Disillusioned, he raises a gun—not at Gi-jun, but at himself. Before he can pull the trigger, Gi-jun slashes his wrist, choosing a slower, more painful fate for him.
Wounded and weary, Gi-jun returns to the quiet lakeside campsite where he last spent time with Gi-seok. As dawn breaks, he remains motionless in the chair, tears silently marking his final moment. With Mercy for None Episode 7 recap, the story comes full circle—Gi-jun, broken by vengeance and grief, finds his end in solitude, just as the truth finally reaches the world he leaves behind.
