Bet Episode 3 opens with Yumeko, played by Miku Martineau, training in martial arts as she silently mourns her parents’ death — a loss that still haunts her years later. At St. Dominics, the student body gathers for Suki’s funeral, but beneath the solemn exterior, underground betting is flourishing. As Kira watches the explosive popularity of side bets unfold, he realizes that Yumeko and the culture she’s bringing must be stopped before the student council loses total control.
Back in her room, Yumeko pores through yearbooks, trying to identify the man who orchestrated her parents’ murder. But when she goes to the library for more clues, she finds the books gone. They’ve all been taken by Dori, a student council member. Dori taunts Yumeko into a duel to win them back. The game: a high-stakes dance challenge.
A Rigged Game and a Painful Loss
Yumeko, unfamiliar with choreography, loses the duel and suffers a major financial hit. Meanwhile, Michael observes the council’s increasing unease. Their iron grip on campus is slipping thanks to an unregulated wave of side bets — a movement Yumeko sparked. Determined to bring structure to the chaos, Michael begins coding an app to track these rogue wagers.
Later, Ryan offers Yumeko private dance lessons. He had been forced into years of dance classes by his parents, and the two find common ground in shared childhood trauma. Their bond strengthens as Yumeko briefly lets her guard down.
Dori’s Hidden Moves and the Duel Reignited
Elsewhere, Dori pays Michael a visit, and her flirtatious behavior suggests she may be developing an interest in him. But she has ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Mary’s attempt to borrow money to gamble is stonewalled, as Kira clamps down on any student taking risky bets without council permission.
Mary soon runs into Yumeko, and together they piece together that Dori had memorized the entire dance beforehand, rigging the duel from the start. Enraged by the deception, Yumeko and Mary confront her — and challenge her to a new kind of rematch. This time, it’s a violent duel, and the first to draw blood wins.
Miku Martineau Fights Dori—and Wins
The entire school swarms to witness the showdown, with students placing side bets tracked live on Michael’s beta app. Dori charges Yumeko with swords, but Yumeko cleverly uses Ryan’s necktie as a makeshift defense. In a quick reversal, she seizes the swords and slashes Dori across the nose, drawing blood and winning the duel.
However, victory brings a new twist. Kira unveils his own side-betting app — a blatant copy of Michael’s. Michael immediately realizes the truth: during her flirty visit, Dori stole his source code.
Dark Rumors and Explosive Discoveries
Back in her room, Mary shares a chilling rumor with Yumeko: that Ryan killed his own father. Yumeko laughs it off as absurd, showing no concern. But the episode doesn’t let up. We cut to a disturbing revelation — Dori has been stalking Michael and has even hidden a surveillance camera in his room.
The next morning, Yumeko uncovers something that snaps her out of her calm: a photo showing her late parents standing next to Raymond Rowe — Blake’s stepfather. Overcome with rage, Yumeko storms off and violently attacks Raymond.
The episode ends in chaos, with personal vengeance now fully entwined with the high-stakes world of gambling and power at St. Dominics.
