On May 9 (local time), SM Entertainment shared that NCT WISH would no longer be part of the SMTOWN LIVE 2025 lineup in Los Angeles, scheduled for May 11. The agency cited delays in visa processing as the reason behind the sudden change.

In an official statement released in English, SM explained that although all required documents were submitted and interviews were completed in advance, an unexpected delay in visa approval meant the group could not obtain travel clearance in time for the event.

Despite their best efforts to expedite the process and identify the root cause of the delay, the issue could not be resolved before the scheduled performance. SM emphasized that they deeply regret the inconvenience and disappointment caused to fans who were looking forward to seeing NCT WISH on stage.

The agency expressed sincere apologies to those who planned to attend the concert specifically to support NCT WISH. They promised that the group will work hard to return with even more passionate performances in the future, and asked for fans’ continued support and understanding.
