Created by acclaimed PD Jung Jong Yeon, known for hit shows like The Genius, The Great Escape, and Girls’ High School Mystery Class, this high-stakes game series pushes intellectual competition to the edge. Contestants live together for seven days, engaging in intense challenges to determine who will claim the title of the ultimate brain.

The latest teaser hints at radical changes in gameplay. The infamous prison twist from Season 1 evolves into a full-fledged “prison ward,” which now serves as a class-based system that rivals the main living quarters. This creates a complex structure of “competitive collaboration,” where inmates may unite to challenge the main players while still battling each other to survive and climb the ranks.
Psychological Warfare and High Tension
Tension runs high in the teaser as players confront dangerous new rules and sharpen their strategies. Chilling lines like “Friends? We’re not friends” (Justin H. Min) and “Have to eliminate them all” (Kim Ha Rin) tease the cutthroat competition and psychological warfare ahead.
PD Jung Jong Yeon teased, “You’ll see how even small rule changes can dramatically impact the entire game… New characters and fresh conflicts await.”
Get ready for a new level of mind games and alliances when The Devil’s Plan: Death Room premieres on May 6, only on Netflix.
