Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 2 Recap: Tragic Death and Justice
The Oh My Ghost Clients Episode 2 recap picks up at the intense cliffhanger from the factory incident. Mu-jin escapes death by mere inches when metal rods nearly fall on him, but the scare is so intense it makes him wet himself. On the way home, Hee-joo is furious at Mu-jin for ruining their plan, and the two bicker over what to do next. Their argument is interrupted when Mu-jin screams—he’s spotted a ghost sitting beside him. Still, Hee-joo and Gyeon-woo brush him off and eventually drop him off at a hospital.
The hospital redirects Mu-jin to a traditional Korean medicine clinic. Despite the treatments meant to clear his blocked energy, the ghostly visions persist. Back home, Hee-joo and Gyeon-woo jokingly tell Mu-jin to stop ignoring the ghost and just talk to it.
They soon learn that the ghost is a young student named Lee Min-uk, who died tragically while working at the factory during his internship. His mother reluctantly let him go, hopeful it would help secure a full-time position. Sadly, Min-uk was exploited—forced to work in unsafe conditions without proper equipment or support. He was placed in a poorly maintained room with a foreign worker named Nimal, who became his only ally.
As responsibilities piled up, Min-uk was pushed beyond his limits. On the eve of Chuseok, a machine malfunction led to his horrific death. Through a trance, Mu-jin relives Min-uk’s final moments. Gyeon-woo and Hee-joo panic, thinking he’s possessed, and violently slap him until he snaps out of it—Mu-jin is particularly bitter about Gyeon-woo’s heavy hand.
Shaken but motivated, the trio investigates the case. Gyeon-woo contacts a reporter friend, only to learn that the company covered up Min-uk’s death and quickly settled with his mother. Jealousy sparks between Hee-joo and the female reporter, with Hee-joo claiming Gyeon-woo as her boyfriend. Despite limited information, they continue digging and even speak to Min-uk’s professor, who is evasive.
When they finally speak with Min-uk’s mother, the truth emerges—she was misled into a hasty settlement. Min-uk’s ghost silently listens, visibly emotional. Determined to seek justice, the trio strategizes. While reviewing the factory’s incident report, Mu-jin notices a suspicious detail. Meanwhile, Gyeon-woo comforts Min-uk’s grieving mother sincerely.
To get evidence, Gyeon-woo goes undercover at the factory. Director Lee Jang-sung, oblivious to the hidden camera, hires him on the spot. Gyeon-woo is partnered with Nimal, who quickly notices the camera and distances himself. From their car outside, Hee-joo and Mu-jin monitor the footage.
Inside, Gyeon-woo tries to win Nimal’s trust by mentioning Min-uk. Though touched, Nimal fears deportation if he loses his job. The undercover mission collapses when the factory owner shows up, recognizing Gyeon-woo. A chaotic chase ensues after a staff member reveals he saw Gyeon-woo during the previous scamming incident. Before they can flee, police arrive.
As the owner demands their arrest, Nimal bravely speaks up. He reveals a video from the night Min-uk died—he had been forced to work on Chuseok. The video captures the moment Min-uk was pulled into the machine. Worse, Jang-sung called his father, who instructed him to abandon Min-uk and protect the company. The men coldly watched Min-uk die.
The workers are outraged after seeing the footage. Jang-sung reacts violently and punches Gyeon-woo, but he’s quickly arrested. Mu-jin lists the numerous crimes committed. The trio later celebrates the victory over dinner, feeling triumphant.
While at a convenience store, Mu-jin notices a worker named Yoon-jae being mistreated but is brushed off when he offers help. The next day, the team, joined by Min-uk’s spirit, visits his mother. She’s moved to receive justice and invites them for a heartfelt meal. When Mu-jin mimics Min-uk’s farewell, she sees her son in him and embraces him tearfully. Min-uk’s spirit smiles and finally ascends.
From a distance, a mysterious figure watches, content. As the episode closes, Mu-jin, Hee-joo, and Gyeon-woo walk home, hopeful that their ghost-hunting days are over. But fate has other plans—Mu-jin sees sparks on an electrical transformer, and a wire suddenly snaps, lunging toward him. For more recap, check out the link below.
