Our Movie Episode 8 Recap: Secrets, Confessions & A Kiss
Our Movie Episode 8 opens with a bittersweet flashforward. Da-eum imagines a ‘Love in White’ remake scene where Seo-yeong’s Jung-hwa accuses Je-ha’s Hyun-sang of pitying Gyu-won rather than truly loving her. Back in the present, Seo-yeong confronts Je-ha about risking everything to love someone who’s dying, questioning if he even knows what love is.
On Day 2 of filming, Je-ha discusses the idea of love with Cheol-min and Makeup Artist Jo. Cheol-min calls love brave; Jo counters that it’s reckless if you aren’t realistic. Meanwhile, Da-eum hides her next hospital appointment from Jun-byoung and later confesses her guilt to Je-ha, who tries to cheer her up.
Agent Go arrives with a coffee truck for Da-eum, stirring awkwardness. Seung-won uses the moment to provoke Da-eum, Jae-in sulks, and Seo-yeong scoffs at Go’s transparent attempt to win favor. During the day’s key scene — the bookstore confrontation — Da-eum ad-libs, and Seo-yeong’s raw response cuts too deep. Overcome with guilt, Seo-yeong storms out, and Je-ha follows but keeps his distance, earning Seo-yeong’s sharp words about his double standards with Da-eum.
Later, Da-eum tries to patch things up with Seo-yeong but gets told that her desperation for meaning is unfair to the crew. Seo-yeong declares she’ll be selfish too and reconnects with Go, wanting their genuine closeness back but resenting his tactics.
That night, a tipsy Je-ha finds Da-eum walking by the beach. She worries about his fight with Seo-yeong — he doesn’t get why she cares. She blurts out that she likes him, then questions why he cares for her in return. Back at the hotel, Agent Go privately warns Je-ha not to hurt Seo-yeong again, regardless of his feelings for Da-eum.
The next day is a rare break. Cheol-min and Jo have an adorably awkward shopping date where she buys him a new jacket and accidentally calls him handsome. Elsewhere, Jun-byoung offers to drive Da-eum to the hospital but Je-ha insists on taking her himself — a move Jun-byoung reads as proof of Je-ha’s feelings. Feeling guilty about his inexperience, Jun-byoung secretly asks AD Hong for advice.

While Da-eum undergoes tests, Je-ha talks with Dr Kim and learns it’s Da-eum’s birthday. He gently asks if there’s any hope left, but Dr Kim’s silence says enough. Dr Lee later tells Je-ha that Da-eum’s brightest smiles hide her deepest pain. The father-daughter pair share a quiet birthday moment, with Dr Lee promising her a chocolate cake next year.
Reporter Noh lurks at the hospital and snaps a photo of Da-eum with Je-ha, which he quickly forwards to Seung-won. Oblivious, Da-eum takes Je-ha to her florist friend’s shop to make a bouquet for Eu-nae’s grave. At the cemetery, they run into Jin-yeo tending the plaque — another link back to the film’s roots. As he drops her home, Da-eum asks if he still believes there’s no love in ‘Love in White.’ He admits he once did, out of spite for his father, but thanks Da-eum for changing his mind. He gives her birthday flowers before leaving.
Inside, Gyu-young surprises Da-eum with a cake. Da-eum says her wish has already come true. Gyu-young teases her about her mystery kisser — convinced Da-eum’s feelings are no longer one-sided.
Back on set, Eun-ho catches Da-eum alone and confesses he knows she and Je-ha have feelings for each other. Da-eum admits it’s complicated but Eun-ho wishes her well and steps aside with quiet grace.
Our Movie Episode 8 closes with Da-eum calling Je-ha to watch the sunset with her. He races from the hotel to the beach, out of breath but desperate not to be too late. He confesses he’s unsure if he should love her — but he does. They share a tender kiss as the sun dips behind them.
