Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 10 Recap: Ro-sa’s Past Revealed
Our Unwritten Seoul Episode 10 begins by pulling us back in time, showing a young Ro-sa — known then as Sang-wol — being chased by bullies. This glimpse into her hidden past frames a powerful story that explodes in the present day.
In the present, chaos reigns as news about Ro-sa spreads online, branding her a murderer. Local thugs smash her restaurant’s windows while Chung-gu manipulates events to transfer ownership to Ro-sa’s brother-in-law. Inspector Im summons Ro-sa for questioning about a suspicious false death report — but, overwhelmed, she ignores the call and turns off her phone.
Mi-rae Fights Back
Elsewhere, Mi-rae refuses to back down despite the growing backlash at work. Colleagues glare at her, but she won’t take paid leave or run away this time. Tae-i offers support as Mi-rae decides to fight the accusations on her own terms. Meanwhile, Wol-sun refuses to eat, distressed over Mi-ji’s absence, but Ok-hui refuses to shoulder the burden alone.

New Bonds and Hard Choices
Mi-rae spends time with Se-jin, visiting restaurants across Seoul. Se-jin reveals he’s leaving for the States and even invites her to join him once her fight is over. Meanwhile, Mi-ji digs into Ro-sa’s troubles and uncovers a letter proving a tangled web of truth behind Ro-sa’s real identity.
Through Mi-ji’s persistence, Ro-sa — revealed to be Sang-wol — finally confesses everything. Sang-wol grew up in an orphanage, bonded with Ro-sa over poetry, and protected her from an abusive husband, Jong-du. When Jong-du threatened Ro-sa’s life, Sang-wol killed him and took the blame, while Ro-sa faced social ruin.
Years later, Ro-sa died of cancer, asking Sang-wol to assume her identity and protect her child from Jong-du’s family — who would otherwise seize everything. This painful truth explains why the Rosa Restaurant and family home mean so much.
The Truth Saves Her
Ho-su discovers Ro-sa’s final letter, which legally transfers all assets to Sang-wol and her son. The revelation clears Sang-wol of wrongdoing, despite the identity theft. Mi-ji rallies former scholarship recipients to support her, drowning Chung-gu’s scheme in public backlash. The court grants Sang-wol a suspended indictment, keeping her safe if she complies with conditions yet to be revealed.
While Sang-wol and Mi-ji celebrate this hard-won justice, tragedy looms. Ho-su — the quiet backbone behind much of this fight — loses his hearing completely, walking away in silence as those he helped remain blissfully unaware.
