SBS’s upcoming youth drama Spring of Youth is turning heads with its latest teaser, offering a taste of quirky housemate chaos, heart-tugging emotions, and a growing love triangle set against a vibrant college backdrop.
The series centers on Sa Gye (Ha Yoo Joon), a former idol whose sudden exit from a top-tier K-pop group leads him to an unexpected new chapter—college life. There, he crosses paths with Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu), a straightforward, spirited student who also happens to be his new landlord. As Sa Gye rekindles his love for music by joining a band, he slowly finds himself drawn to Bom.
Housemate Rivalry Kicks Off the Drama
Things spiral into romantic chaos when Seo Tae Yang (Lee Seung Hyub), a studious med school senior with a crush on Bom, learns that Sa Gye has moved into her house. Refusing to stay on the sidelines, Tae Yang moves in too, despite Bom’s protests. He coolly declares, “Sa Gye said we can share a room—it’s big enough,” sending both Bom and Sa Gye into comic disbelief.
The teaser is packed with laugh-out-loud moments, including a scene where the two rivals accidentally wake up in each other’s arms. Sa Gye immediately shouts, “Kick him out immediately!”—setting the tone for a hilarious yet emotionally fraught cohabitation.
No Rules in Love, Only War
As tensions rise, Tae Yang boldly claims, “I liked Bom first,” to which Sa Gye counters, “There’s no order in love.” Tae Yang retorts, “Fine. Let’s face off,” signaling that this rivalry is just getting started. Their constant bickering over Bom’s affection reaches a boiling point, leading her to finally snap: “Please give it a rest!”
In a hilariously awkward attempt to mend things, the two declare, “We’re best friends now!” while throwing their arms around each other—though it’s clear the rivalry is far from over.
Romance, Music, and Messy Emotions Collide
The teaser also hints at deeper emotional layers. Tae Yang confesses, “Did I ever tell you? That I like you,” while Sa Gye quietly opens up to Bom: “I want to be in the same band with you for a long time.”
With a tangled web of affection, campus antics, and budding music dreams, Spring of Youth promises a heartfelt mix of laughter, rivalry, and romance that’s sure to captivate viewers. Stay tuned as the premiere date approaches.
