Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and 2PM’s Taecyeon wowed fans during the first official script reading of KBS2’s new fantasy romance drama The First Night With the Duke, generating buzz ahead of its premiere. At the heart of the drama is Seohyun’s character, Cha Sun Chaek, a modern-day Gen Z college student whose soul unexpectedly enters a secondary character in a romance novel set during the Joseon era. Alongside her, Taecyeon takes on the role of Yi Beon, a high-ranking noble with an icy exterior and a mysterious past.

Seohyun captured Cha Sun Chaek’s charm with bright expressions, playful gestures, and a vibrant delivery that made the character’s journey through an unfamiliar historical setting both amusing and heartfelt.
