Girls’ Generation member and actor Seohyun recently shared behind-the-scenes stories from her latest film Holy Night: Demon Hunters in a lighthearted episode of Hyeri’s YouTube show, “I’ll Do It All for You!”, released on May 2.
In the video, Seohyun appeared as a guest on the popular segment Tent’s Club to promote her return to the big screen in the occult action film Holy Night: Demon Hunters, directed by Lim Dae-hee (not Lee Lease, as previously misstated). The film stars Ma Dong-seok alongside Seohyun in a supernatural thriller centered around a secret organization fighting dark forces.
Seohyun introduced her character, Sharon, saying, “In the film, Sharon is a spiritually gifted person who becomes a target of a cult that worships evil. She gets captured, but Ma Dong-seok’s character, Bau, rescues her. After that, she joins the Holy Night team and uses her abilities to help others.” She added, laughing, “It was the first time I saw action scenes like this—Ma Dong-seok is so powerful, I thought he was literally flying.”
When discussing an intense action scene, Seohyun recalled, “He broke down the door with one hand.” Hyeri, surprised, asked, “He didn’t really do it, right?” to which Seohyun replied, “It was real—it actually broke. It wasn’t meant to, so it was a surprise.”
The two praised Ma Dong-seok’s charisma, with Seohyun saying, “He’s such a great person. I hope you get to work with him someday.” Hyeri chimed in, “Just from touching him and seeing the action scenes, I felt like, ‘I need to go to the theater for this one.’”
Seohyun emphasized the importance of watching the film in theaters, saying, “It’s an occult action movie—so it’s really best experienced on the big screen. If you like the occult, it’s entertaining. Come and see it!”
Holy Night: Demon Hunters blends intense action with supernatural elements and is currently showing in theaters across South Korea.
