Squid Game Season 3 Episode 3: VIP Secrets & Deadly Jump Rope

Squid Game Season 3 Episode 3 begins with brutal consequences for the failed Red Team players — their execution carried out by new staff revealed to be the VIPs themselves. These foreigners are far more bloodthirsty than the original guards, eager to kill and mock the players’ desperation.

Nam-gyu panics after losing Thanos’ pill box and narrowly avoids death while searching for it. Meanwhile, Myung-gi breathes a sigh of relief when Geum-ja and Jun-hee appear with the baby, though Jun-hee coldly avoids him. No-eul disguises Player 246 as a staff doctor to sneak him out, while he wonders why she’s risking so much for him — an answer she doesn’t give.

At the bunker, the remaining 25 players learn each now has 1.7 billion won. Woo-seok, suspicious of Captain Park, investigates his background and warns Jun-ho to stay alert. As the next vote starts, the VIPs gleefully watch how far the players will go for money. In a shock twist, Nam-gyu votes no but Min-su, craving revenge, votes yes. Despite Geum-ja’s desperate plea to stop the games for the baby, the Red Team wins by a landslide. The VIPs ridicule her tragic sacrifice.

Back at the facility, the trafficking team finds the dead guards. CCTV footage exposes Player 246’s disguise, forcing No-eul to threaten the Officer for help. The Officer, torn by her betrayal of the organ trade, secretly tries to alert the guards.

On the boat, Jun-ho forces Captain Park to approach an island shore he recognizes — a big slip for Park, who’s been hiding the truth. Meanwhile, Woo-seok uncovers a photo connecting Park to the Salesman, but his break-in ends in chaos when he’s mauled by Park’s dog and the police arrive.

The next morning, the Officer hands No-eul a boat key but double-crosses her by exposing 246. Back in the bunker, tragedy strikes again: Geum-ja has hanged herself overnight, devastating Jun-hee and Gi-hun. With her gone, Jun-hee blames herself, but Gi-hun consoles her, promising to protect her and the child.

Squid Game Season 3 Episode 3: Deadly Jump Rope Twist

The fifth game is announced — a terrifying version of jump rope. Players must cross a broken bridge in 20 minutes while jumping rope, or be killed. The guards cruelly declare that Jun-hee’s baby is also a player, forcing the mother to play while injured.

As the players argue about who should go first, Min-su taunts Nam-gyu by tossing the pill box onto the bridge. Nam-gyu grabs it but finds it empty — the distraction costs him his life when the rope hits him, sending him to his death.

Gi-hun carries the baby across first but can’t return for Jun-hee until the others cross. With time running out and panic rising, Player 96 begins killing rivals on the bridge to secure his own survival, leaving Jun-hee desperate and stranded with only minutes left on the clock.
