Tastefully Yours Episode 10: Yeon-joo’s Return, Cook-Off Drama, and a Heartfelt Ending
Tastefully Yours Episode 10 kicks off with the much-anticipated cook-off between Jungjae and Motto being broadcast to the public. The judges are revealed to be Chairman Han and Mathieu, the editor-in-chief at Diamant—and the mysterious French man who visited Jungjae earlier. When the competition theme is announced as chicken, Team Jungjae ambitiously sets out to create a Korean-style coq au vin. But sourcing quality chicken becomes an issue as nearby stores mysteriously have none. Suspecting sabotage, Beom-woo leads the team on a second supply run—just as Yeon-joo secretly watches from nearby.
Elsewhere, Sun-woo learns that his mother, Chairman Han, has orchestrated a local chicken supply restriction. While driving through town, he spots Yeon-joo and approaches her—though their conversation is initially withheld.
A Quiet Talk and Two Kitchens Open
The next day, Motto opens for business, with Young-hye finally debuting her own recipe. Meanwhile, Jungjae also resumes service and sees the arrival of food influencers and even Chun-seung’s father, who proudly enjoys his son’s makgeolli.
Mathieu tastes Young-hye’s dish and is impressed. During the trip to Jungjae, Chairman Han confides in Producer Kim that she doesn’t care who wins—she just wants PR for her new venture. Meanwhile, Young-hye tells Yu-jin that cooking for herself brought her joy, and she decides to resign.
A flashback shows Sun-woo telling Yeon-joo how Chairman Han always prioritized her restaurant empire over her own sons. Another memory reveals Beom-woo being emotionally neglected as a child, with his grandmother being the only nurturing figure in his life.
Judging, Ties, and a Bold Challenge
When the judges taste Jungjae’s coq au vin, Mathieu asks what makes their version unique. After tallying results, Chairman Han receives the paper confirming Jungjae’s win—but shockingly declares a tie. Furious at the manipulation, Mathieu storms out.
Beom-woo confronts her, only for Yeon-joo to walk in and confidently accept the proposed rematch. But she ups the stakes—telling Chairman Han to come for breakfast the next day. If she doesn’t like the food, she can go ahead and destroy Jungjae.
Later, Beom-woo receives a text from Sun-woo, who invites him for drinks. Sun-woo questions why Beom-woo is going so far for a small restaurant. Beom-woo responds that he doesn’t want to repeat the cold life they lived and questions if their mother is even happy.

A Simple Meal That Changes Everything
The next morning, Yeon-joo finds a sunhat and apology note from Beom-woo on the counter. With cameras rolling once more, Chairman Han arrives at Jungjae. Yeon-joo prepares a modest Korean home-style breakfast and instructs Chun-seung to seat Chairman Han with both her sons.
When she finally presents the covered dish, Yeon-joo shocks everyone by declaring defeat. She says she didn’t cook to win—but to share. The meal is a sentimental recreation of shrimp rice jeon, the very dish Chairman Han once made on TV. Unable to resist, Chairman Han eats it all.
Moved, she allows Yeon-joo to keep Jungjae and admits they would’ve just opened elsewhere anyway. Later, she quietly asks Sun-woo to inform her when he visits their grandmother’s resting place.
Resolutions and New Beginnings
Yeon-joo later tells Beom-woo she’s letting him off the hook because she likes him. Beom-woo returns her feelings with a hug and confession—though their moment is cut short by Chun-seung and Myung-sook.
Elsewhere, Young-hye opens a food truck, and Yu-jin shows up to support her, drawn by both her food and her charm. Myung-sook partners with Chun-seung’s restaurant, fangirling when her favorite drama actor visits.
Chairman Han visits the grandmother’s resting place with a film crew, showing emotion for the cameras, but hints at possible redemption. Meanwhile, Beom-woo reconciles with the man who once tried to burn down Jungjae, helping him reclaim his own restaurant.
The episode—and likely the season—closes on a romantic full circle. Beom-woo finds Yeon-joo in Jungjae’s garden, just like before. But this time, she welcomes him with a hug and a kiss—signaling forgiveness, healing, and the start of something new. For more recaps, check out the link below.
