A deadly trap unfolds in The Haunted Palace Episode 7
The episode begins with Yeri (Kim Ji-yeon) and Jung-jeon (Han So-eun) in grave danger. Lee (Kim Ji-hoon) discovers Yeri unconscious after a brutal encounter. Despite his quick arrival, her body is limp—already shot and unresponsive. Devastated, Lee blames himself: “I was finally beaten to death,” he murmurs, frustrated by his inability to protect her.
Examining her wounds, Lee notices blister-like marks, prompting Steel (Nurture Jae) to conclude, “It’s a symptom of heavy conduct. She looks shot. And the shooter is looking for a baby boy in the middle of the night. That wound has to be sealed—or it’ll kill her.”
Realizing they’re running out of time, Steel and Lee agree to collaborate. Steel lays out a high-risk plan: “There’s only one way to stop this—catch the ghost who shoots flesh. But once it runs, it’s not easy to call it back.” He believes the ghost seeks royal blood and a “middle-aged baby,” making Yeri the perfect bait.
The two spring into action. Steel warns Lee, “I’m the judge. If you delay, she’ll die. If you refuse to help, I’ll take your son myself.” Lee, driven by desperation, agrees to lure the spirit by using his own blood. “He won’t appear in daylight,” Steel warns—but still proceeds to cut himself to draw the entity near.
At that very moment, Yeri regains consciousness and rushes to stop them. “No… Steel… it’s a trap. Please…”
Her warning comes too late. A ghostly smirk appears in the water’s reflection, and before she can react, it pulls her under—ending the episode on a chilling cliffhanger. For more recap, do check out the link below.
