“The Naked Gun” 2025 Trailer: A Hilarious Reboot with Liam Neeson
Paramount Pictures has unveiled the official teaser trailer for The Naked Gun (2025), reviving the iconic slapstick comedy series. Directed by Akiva Schaffer and produced by Seth MacFarlane, this reboot brings the zany humor of the original films to a whole new generation, while paying tribute to its comedic roots.
The Naked Gun – Liam Neeson Takes Over as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr.
In this new chapter, Liam Neeson steps into the shoes of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the original protagonist Lt. Frank Drebin, played by the late Leslie Nielsen. The story follows Drebin Jr. as he attempts to live up to his father’s legendary legacy while diving into a series of absurd and humorous situations.
Pamela Anderson joins the cast as Beth, a femme fatale who adds a new layer of intrigue to the film. The stellar ensemble cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser as Capt. Ed Hocken Jr., along with CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Rhodes, and Busta Rhymes, rounding out a dynamic and diverse team.
Outrageous Humor and Familiar Faces
The teaser trailer gives a preview of the film’s slapstick humor, with Liam Neeson placed in hilarious situations far from his usual action-hero roles. One standout moment features Neeson disguised as a schoolgirl in a chaotic bank heist—an outrageous nod to the series’ signature blend of absurdity and surprise. Subtle references to the original Naked Gun films are woven throughout, ensuring both old and new fans will find something to enjoy.
