TripleS is making a full-group return with all 24 members for the first time in a year. On May 12, the girl group will release their second full-length album, ASSEMBLE25, marking their first full-group release since ASSEMBLE24 debuted on May 8, 2023. After a year of sub-unit promotions, the group is reuniting under one stage, heightening anticipation among fans.
Debuting in 2023 under the slogan “Idols of All Possibilities,” tripleS became the largest girl group in K-pop history with 24 members. Since their debut, they’ve actively promoted through rotating units—10 sub-groups in total—each with different musical styles and member configurations, keeping fans engaged with ever-evolving concepts.
Their debut full-length album last year, ASSEMBLE24, featured the track “Girls Never Die,” a performance that highlighted all 24 members on stage at once. The dynamic choreography and synchronized execution wowed audiences and showcased the group’s ambitious scale.
Their grand logistics have also made headlines—whenever all 24 members travel together, the group utilizes five separate vans and even a full-size 40-seater charter bus. During “Girls Never Die,” every member was allocated a solo segment ranging from 1 to 4 seconds, making the listening experience feel distinct and democratic.
With the return of all 24 members, fans are now eagerly awaiting how the group will divide lines in ASSEMBLE25. The new title track, Are You Alive, continues the conceptual thread from “Girls Never Die,” creating a cinematic connection between the two eras. The music video is expected to expand on the themes of instability, hope, and despair, amplifying tripleS’s emotional storytelling.
The album also includes a wide range of tracks. “Yesterday’s Fireworks” and “Love Child” tackle nostalgia and unrequited feelings, while “Persona”—a song written and composed by member Park So-hyun—offers a more personal touch. “Too Hot” burns with youthful energy, and “Diablo,” a high-tech dance track chosen through fan participation, emphasizes the group’s unique fan-powered concept. Other notable tracks include “Friend Zone,” which explores the tension between friendship and love, and “Love2Love,” a spark-filled dance number highlighting their group chemistry.
Their May 12 comeback will include a notable media showcase. The event is set to include an unusually long 50-minute photo session solely to capture all 24 members—an uncommon format compared to standard idol showcases that typically last about an hour in total, including both performance and media time.
Speaking to News1, a representative from Mode House commented, “For those who remember the full-stage impact of ‘Girls Never Die,’ this new comeback will present a more mature and spectacular multi-member performance. The title track ‘Wake Up’ delivers the raw and urgent emotions of young women, so we hope you’ll listen closely to the lyrics.”
