Rookie girl group USPEER is powering up for their official debut by bringing playful energy to their pre-debut reality series, USPEER RUN UP! In Episode 5, the members dove into their “1st Battery Training” session, capturing fans’ attention with a mix of competitiveness, charm, and humor.
Hosted by Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior and Seunghee from Oh My Girl, the episode centered on team missions that tested the group’s variety skills. Seunghee, impressed by the members’ matching outfits and chemistry, beamed, “You really look like a team now.”
Dancing, Laughter, and Rookie Star Power
The “Challenge King” game had the members perform trending short-form choreography from songs like “Sticky,” “First Eyes,” “Nemonemo,” and “I’m Sorry for Being Cute.” Each member showcased their moves with confidence, but it was main dancer Seoyu who ultimately stole the spotlight.
In the next segment, the one-second music quiz, the group nailed song after song with surprising accuracy. When Oh My Girl’s “Secret Garden” played, Seunghee jumped in to dance alongside the girls, creating a heartwarming moment. Cyanide impressed with her versatility and took the crown in this round.
Rookie Mistakes and Fan-Friendly Moments
The final game, a photo-based “person quiz,” brought unexpected laughs. Daon hilariously failed to recognize ONF’s Wyatt—despite being from the same agency—while Xi-an stepped in as the “black knight,” only to name another ONF member by mistake.
A Rising Group to Watch
As the first new girl group from WM Entertainment in a decade, USPEER is already gaining momentum. With their debut slated for the first half of 2025, their strong performance on USPEER RUN UP! is helping to build a solid fanbase. Their fresh energy, variety sense, and group dynamic are setting the stage for a debut that fans won’t want to miss.
